Patima Elementary School Holds General Parents' Meeting

Patima Elementary School successfully conducted its General Parents' Meeting on September 18, 2026 at 3:00 pm onwards bringing together parents and school personnel for a meaningful discussion on matters concerning the academic progress, well-being, and overall development of the learners.

The program was headed by the School Head, Mr. Eugene C. Mascariña, Principal I, who led the gathering and emphasized the importance of strong collaboration between the school and parents in supporting learners throughout their educational journey.

The discussion began with Ma'am Laarni M. Amigable, Master Teacher I and Grade 1 Adviser, who presented the Academic Performance and Grading System, providing parents with important information on how learners’ academic progress is assessed and monitored. The discussion aimed to strengthen parents’ understanding of the school’s assessment practices and encourage their continued involvement in their children’s learning.

The program then proceeded to the discussion on Discipline and the Role of Parents, facilitated by Ma'am Rosalie M. Batol, Teacher V and Kindergarten Adviser. The session highlighted the shared responsibility of the school and parents in guiding learners toward appropriate behavior, respect, accountability, and positive values both inside and outside the school.

Following this, Ma'am Norissa M. Sabaten Teacher VI and Grade IV Adviser, discussed Bullying, emphasizing the importance of awareness, prevention, and timely intervention in creating a safe and respectful learning environment. The discussion reinforced the need for parents and school personnel to work together in addressing concerns and ensuring that every learner feels safe, valued, and protected.

The meeting concluded with the distribution of report cards by grade level in their respective classrooms. During this important part of the program, class advisers conferred with parents and guardians to discuss their children’s academic strengths, areas for improvement, and observed behaviors. These conversations provided an opportunity to identify appropriate ways to address challenges, reinforce positive progress, and establish supportive measures for the coming term.

This meaningful gathering served as an avenue for meaningful communication, shared understanding, and strengthened partnership between the school and the families it serves. Through open dialogue and collective responsibility, Patima Elementary School continues to foster an environment where learners can learn, grow, and thrive in a safe, supportive, and nurturing community.

Together, the school and parents remain united in one shared commitment: to guide, protect, and support every learner toward a better future.

A Meaningful Gift for Our Young PaESians 🎒📚

Patima Elementary School extends its heartfelt appreciation to the Local Government Unit of Infanta headed by the Municipal Mayor, Doc Virgilio F. Vallarta through the Local Youth and Sports Development Office (LYDO) for providing school supplies to our Kindergarten learners, supporting their learning needs and helping them begin their educational journey with the materials they need.

This meaningful initiative was initiated by Mr. Mark Anthony M. Mas, Local Youth Development Officer, whose commitment to supporting young learners reflects the importance of youth-centered programs that contribute to their education and development.

The activity was also graced by the presence of the town’s Chief Executive, whose support and commitment to initiatives that benefit children and the community further strengthened this meaningful undertaking.

Patima Elementary School, headed by the School Principal, Mr. Eugene C. Mascariña, is deeply grateful for this generous contribution. Beyond the school supplies, this initiative serves as an expression of the community’s continued support for education and a reminder that investing in our young learners is an investment in the future of the community.

Thank you for helping our Kindergarten learners start their learning journey with greater encouragement, confidence, and hope. Your support truly makes a difference.

INSET 2026 | ILAW IN ACTION: Design and Deliver Effective Lessons through Explicit Instruction 💡📚

The teachers of Patima Elementary School actively participated in INSET 2026: ILAW in Action, “Design and Deliver Effective Lessons through Explicit Instruction,” a free webinar series brought to educators through the collaboration of GBF STEM Collab and the National Educators Academy of the Philippines (NEAP).

The three-day learning series provided teachers with practical and meaningful insights into the ILAW Framework and Explicit Instruction, focusing on how these approaches can be translated into purposeful classroom practice.

Throughout the sessions, teachers explored the role of the ILAW Framework in effective teaching, ways to integrate Explicit Instruction into lesson design, and the I Do → We Do → You Do sequence in guiding learners from teacher modeling toward guided and independent practice. The sessions also highlighted effective lesson pacing, learner engagement, and the use of constructive feedback to strengthen teaching practice.

Through this professional learning opportunity, the Patima Elementary School teaching force continues to enrich its knowledge and refine its instructional practices, with the goal of making every lesson clear, intentional, structured, and responsive to learners’ needs.

ILAW in Action reminds us that effective teaching begins with purposeful planning and becomes meaningful through intentional delivery.

As face-to-face classes resumed on August 27, 2026, Patima Elementary School received invaluable support from our SPTA officers, TUPAD workers, and dedicated parents. Together, they joined forces to restore the cleanliness and safety of our campus following the recent heavy rains and typhoons.

The school grounds were left with scattered leaves, fallen branches, debris, mud, and various types of waste brought by the strong winds, heavy rains and floods. Recognizing the need to immediately clear these hazards, our dedicated stakeholders voluntarily joined the clean-up effort to make the surroundings safer and more conducive for our learners. Despite the heavy rainfall and severe flooding, they were not prevented from cleaning the school grounds. Likewise, school personnel took proactive measures to help prevent the spread of mosquito-borne diseases, particularly dengue. They sprayed insect-control chemicals in areas where mosquitoes and other insects were likely to thrive. This initiative aimed to reduce the presence of disease-carrying mosquitoes and promote a healthier and safer environment for both learners and school personnel.

More than simply cleaning the school, this initiative reflects our community's shared concern for the safety and well-being of every learner. By removing potential hazards from pathways, open spaces, and learning areas, our volunteers helped ensure that our learners can return to a school environment that is clean, orderly, and safe.

Patima Elementary School, headed by the school principal, Mr. Eugene C. Mascariña, sincerely appreciates everyone for giving their time and effort when our school needed it most. Your willingness to lend a hand, cooperation, and concern remind us that keeping our learners safe is a responsibility we all share.
