The wait is finally over, CvSU! We are absolutely thrilled to officially introduce the newest face of the CvSU Otaku Society—meet our official mascot, Tako! 🐙✨

But Tako isn't just any mascot; he has a story as unique as his vibrant green fur!

🌟 𝑾𝒉𝒐 𝒊𝒔 𝑻𝒂𝒌𝒐?
Originating from Japan, Tako is a Nekomata who found his way to the Philippines after following a kind stranger who helped him survive a storm. He eventually got separated from them after getting just a little bit too distracted by a delicious takoyaki stall!

🌸 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠
Tako’s life changed forever when he met Ruriko. Seeing a stray cat in need, the kind-hearted and animal-loving Ruriko shared her takoyaki with him. Day after day, Tako waited at the stall for her return, leading Ruriko to eventually adopt him—completely unaware that her new green-furred friend was far from a normal stray cat!

What an incredible start to the University Games and Culture and Arts Festival! Day 1 was a massive success at Booth 12, located right in front of OSAS, and we couldn't have done it without the energy of the CvSU community!

Here’s a quick look at how we leveled up today:

[ 📢 OFFICIAL STATEMENT: THE FINAL UPDATE ON SŌKAI GA 2026 ]

Kangei, minna-san.

As your President, it is with a very heavy heart that I must deliver this final update regarding our Sōkai: General Assembly.

We have fought through many "circumstances" this year, but despite our best efforts to secure a venue and a date, it seems the odds were simply not on our side. We have faced a long series of setbacks that were beyond our control:

Nov 1st week: Rescheduled due to the still yet unapproved Calendar of Activities, which were approved in February 2026 due to administration work.

March 21: Rescheduled due to venue unavailability.

April 23: Rescheduled due to the University’s Asynchronous Memorandum.

May 12: Rescheduled because the venue was booked by another party while we waited for our permit.

May 11: Our final attempt, supported by our advisers, was unfortunately canceled, as the venue must now be utilized for University Games week.

MY SINCEREST APOLOGIES (お詫び)

I am deeply sorry to everyone who got excited, prepared their cosplays, and looked forward to this event. It is heartbreaking to feel like no matter what we did, the timing never aligned. As your leader, I take full responsibility for the disappointment this has caused.

[ 💸 REFUND PROTOCOL ]

To be fair to everyone who supported us, we are implementing a full refund policy:

GA Registration Fee (₱50): This will be refunded to everyone who registered.

Membership Fee (₱200): If you feel that your membership was not worth the fee paid for this Academic Year, we will respect your decision and provide a refund. However, we humbly ask you to reconsider, as these funds help keep the society alive for future events.

Refund Deadline: Refunding will take place until May 11, 2026 (Monday). Please coordinate with the officers to process your request.

[ ⚔️ LOOKING TO THE FUTURE ]

Worry not—we are not giving up. We have learned exactly what to anticipate from the university's administrative timeline.

Next Year’s Promise:

Early Venue Securing: We will prioritize venue bookings at the very start of the year.

Sensing Forms: We will release a survey before finalizing our Calendar of Activities to ensure we are planning the events you want to see.

More Than Just a GA: We will expand our horizons so the GA isn't the only highlight of your membership.

Again, I am truly sorry for the "lag" we experienced this year. Thank you for your patience, your passion, and for staying with the CvSU Otaku Society.

Good day, Minna-san! 🌸

We know everyone is excited for our General Assembly, but we have to take a quick "training filler" break. Due to the recent administration memo regarding the 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞 𝐂𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝𝐮𝐥𝐞, no events are allowed to be conducted during these times. To stay in compliance with the university, we are officially postponing our GA, originally scheduled for 𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐰, 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐥 𝟐𝟑, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔.

As of now, we are still on a quest to find the perfect 𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 (𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐮𝐞) for our gathering, so the final date is still TBD. We aren’t sure yet if we can wrap this up within the current academic year, but don't lose hope!

Your officers are working behind the scenes like Ninjas to secure a venue and a new schedule. 🛠️✨ We are doing everything in our power to make this happen for all of you.
