Gawad Sidlak 2026 โ€“ Special Needs Education (SNED) Validation

The Special Needs Education (SNED) Validation for Gawad Sidlak 2026 was successfully conducted under the leadership of Dr. Josephine M. Monzaga, Education Program Supervisor, together with the presence of esteemed School Heads: Maโ€™am Rowena L. De Guia, Maโ€™am Katherine Del Rosario, and Sir Michael P. Romera.

We extend our profound gratitude to our dedicated teachers, supportive parents, and highly motivated learners whose collective efforts and unwavering commitment significantly contributed to the success of this undertaking.

Our sincere appreciation is likewise conveyed to our School Head, Dr. Jennifer M. Rojo, and our Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Amelita P. Peรฑalba, for their steadfast leadership, guidance, and continued support throughout the validation process.

โœจ Healthy Smiles for Special Children โœจ

Cavite Dental Chapter and Treceโ€“Indang Dental Circle conducted a meaningful Community Dental Outreach Program for the learners of Indang Central Elementary School โ€“ Little Red School SPED Center last January 30, 2026.

The program was led by Dr. Racquel Rodil, TIDC Counselor (2025โ€“2026), together with various dentists from the Treceโ€“Indang Dental Circle, in collaboration with Dr. Abel Depano, Cavite Dental Chapter President (2025โ€“2026), and Dr. Judy Gavenia, President-Elect (2026โ€“2027).

As part of the outreach, Dr. Anthony Fiel Bayas delivered an informative Dental Education and Oral Hygiene Instruction, emphasizing the importance of proper oral care and healthy dental practices among children with special needs. ๐Ÿชฅ๐Ÿ˜

The school and community sincerely thank all the participating dentists, teachers, parents, and partners for their dedication and support. Through shared commitment and compassion, this initiative brought not only dental care but also brighter smiles to our special children.

A meaningful opportunity for our learners! ๐ŸŒŸ

25 learners from Indang Central Elementary School โ€“ Little Red School SPED Center received free developmental assessments, conducted by the Dr. Nelson Ravina Educational Consultancy Services Team.

Heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Nelson Ravina, Ma'am Peng Ramona and team for leading this child-centered initiative, and to the Provincial Government of Cavite for funding this meaningful program through the support of Hon. Gov. Francisco Gabriel "Abeng" Remulla.

We also honor the dedication of DepEd Cavite Province's Schools Division Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie D. Torres and SNED-EPS, Dr. Josephine Monzaga, whose leadership lights the path for inclusive education in our division.

With deep appreciation to our School Principal, Dr. Jennifer M. Rojo and Public Schools District Supervisor, Amelita P. Peรฑalba, whose guidance and compassion ensured a smooth and successful assessment day.

Last November 14, the SNED Interns of Indang Central Elementary School, in collaboration with Circle of Foundational Educators - Cavite State University and Bridges - Circle of Foundational Educators, held a heartwarming socialization activity in celebration of Deaf Awareness Week 2025 with a theme of Beyond Silence ๐ŸคŸ๐Ÿป๐Ÿฉต

Students and their parents had the chance to explore basic sign language, encouraging interaction, awareness, and a deeper appreciation for Deaf culture โ˜˜๏ธ Through simple, shared communication experiences, everyone was able to connect, learn, and celebrate the beauty of inclusion ๐Ÿ’›

Even during the suspension of face-to-face classes due to influenza-like illness, our dedicated SNED learners continued to learn through online sessions. Their perseverance and enthusiasm truly embody the spirit of inclusive education โ€” that every learner can thrive anytime, anywhere! ๐Ÿ’™

To ensure learning continuity amid the suspension of face-to-face classes due to influenza-like illness, the SNED teachers of Indang Central Elementary School โ€“ Little Red School SPED Center together with the BSNED interns from Cavite State University-College of Education, conducted online classes for learners with special educational needs.

Through virtual lessons and interactive activities, learners actively engaged and demonstrated their love for learning despite staying at home. This initiative reflects the schoolโ€™s unwavering commitment to provide inclusive, accessible, and flexible learning opportunities for all children, upholding the belief that education must continue regardless of circumstance.

Teamwork for Inclusion!

Committed to advancing inclusive education, Indang Central Elementary School-Little Red School SPED Center took part on the Regional Training on School Personnel on SNED Individualized Education Plan (IEP) and Creation of School-Based Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) โ€” Batch 2 (October 16โ€“18, 2025) held at M.I. Sevilla Resort, Lucena City, Quezon Province.
