The MOU for institutional partnership between Cavite State University and Charoen Pokphand Foods – Philippines was inked on June 3, 2026 at the CvSU Board Room, CvSU Administration Building, Cavite State University (CvSU), Indang, Cavite.

This partnership is a testament to how meaningful collaborations begin from simple engagements and shared aspirations. What started as a benchmarking activity and a visit to the facilities of CPF has grown into a stronger partnership built on trust, mutual respect, and a shared commitment to advancing veterinary, agricultural, and food-related education. This collaboration further strengthened through the generous support of CPF in the furnishing of the CVMBS Necropsy Laboratory, as well as through the opportunities provided for veterinary students and clinicians to gain hands-on industry experience through internships and on-the-job training in CPF farms and laboratories.

The MOU signing formalizes the commitment to further develop an industry-based and industry-responsive approach in instruction, research, and extension. Through this partnership, the institutions aim to provide our students with relevant practical experiences, strengthen faculty and student competencies, pursue collaborative research addressing real industry needs, and extend innovations that will benefit communities and stakeholders.

Cavite State University deeply values this partnership with Charoen Pokphand Foods – Philippines. Together, the institutions are creating pathways that connect academic excellence with industry expertise, preparing future professionals who are competent, innovative, and responsive to the needs of society.

On May 7, 2026 (Thursday), the LIKAS Team formally conducted its Final Presentation at the Office of the President of Cavite State University, presenting the project’s major accomplishments and key deliverables to Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro.

Among the highlights presented were the seven (7) Coffee Table Volume Books, the main deliverables of the LIKAS Project, showcasing the rich biodiversity and environmental narratives documented throughout the initiative. The team also presented the final AVP featuring the project’s milestones, activities, and accomplishments, together with the LIKAS Policy Brief that aims to support future biodiversity conservation and environmental awareness efforts within the university and beyond.

This presentation marks not only the culmination of months of dedication, collaboration, and fieldwork, but also a celebration of LIKAS’ commitment to research, conservation, and storytelling through science and creativity.
