Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, Alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented today, Friday, September 4, 2026, in all levels of public and private educational institutions in Cavite and other identified areas, unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives.

This measure is being implemented in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall brought by the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and the poor air quality caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

๐Ÿ“ Cavite is among the provinces covered by the memorandum.

Therefore, CASmates are advised to observe alternative learning arrangements and coordinate with their respective instructors and class representatives regarding learning activities and requirements for today.

The suspension is in response to PAGASA Heavy Rainfall Warning No. 10, which raised Cavite to an Orange Rainfall Warning. This precautionary measure is in accordance with Executive Order No. 36, Series of 2026, and DepEd Order No. 14, Series of 2026.

A fellow Kabsuhenyo and their family are currently facing a severe health and financial crisis. Mr. Marlon D. Bagaforo, father of our fellow student Dior Marco Bagaforo, was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) following urgent medical procedures, including dialysis and angioplasty surgery. He has been diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease Stage 5, Heart Failure, and Acute Ischaemic Heart Disease, with hospital expenses reaching โ‚ฑ1.14 million.

As his family shoulder the continuously growing expenses for his ongoing treatment, we are appealing to the kindness, compassion, and solidarity of the CvSU community to help ease their heavy burden.
