We proudly congratulate Asst. Prof. Karl Louisse D. Obispo, faculty member of the Department of Animal Science, Cavite State University, for co-developing a project proposal that has been approved under the Galing PCAARRD Kontra Krisis (GPKK) Program.

The approved project, “SAFE AgriBiyahe: Urban Food Production, Distribution Support, and Capacity Building for Transport-Dependent Households,” aims to strengthen urban food systems by enhancing local food production, improving distribution support, and building the capacity of transport-dependent communities.

The project is led by Dr. Richelle D. Mendoza-Olpot, with Asst. Prof. Obispo serving as one of its co-developers.

Congratulations to 𝗡𝗶𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗙. 𝗠𝘂𝗲𝗴𝗼, 4th Year BS Food Technology student, for winning the 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝟯𝗠𝗧 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 during the 2026 Student Research Symposium held on June 4, 2026 at the Bulwagang Hardin, Interdisciplinary Research Building.

Ms. Muego presented her study “𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗘𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗮 𝗕𝗹𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗺 (𝙈𝙪𝙨𝙖 𝙖𝙘𝙪𝙢𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙖) 𝗘𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗦𝘂𝗴𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗹𝗺 (𝘼𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙜𝙖 𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙖 (𝗪𝘂𝗿𝗺𝗯) 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗿.) 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿” in the Three-Minute (3MT) Competition, where participants present their research in just three minutes.

Joining her in this achievement are her thesis adviser, Ms. Remilyn V. Concepcion, and Technical Critic, Asst. Prof. Aitee Janelle E. Reterta.

𝐂𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐞 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐬 𝐓𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞-𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐮𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐲 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐭

The Virtual Accreditation Survey Visit conducted from June 1–3, 2026, was successfully completed, marking another significant milestone in Cavite State University's pursuit of academic excellence and quality assurance.

The three-day accreditation commenced on June 1, 2026, with an opening program. University President Dr. Ma. Agnes P. Nuestro delivered the welcome remarks, followed by the introduction of the University officials. Dr. Pia Rhoda P. Lucero, Director for Quality Assurance, introduced the AACCUP accreditors. Subsequently, Overall Coordinator Dr. Eunice B. Custodio presented the objectives and procedures of the accreditation process and shared the inspiring quote by Kano Jigoro: “Success is not about being the best; it is about being better than you were yesterday”.

Following the opening program, breakout sessions were conducted for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (Main Campus) program. During these sessions, accreditor engaged in question-and-answer discussions to validate the evidence and supporting documents submitted by the program.

On Day 2 (June 2, 2026), the breakout sessions continued for the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science program, alongside the Bachelor in Agricultural Entrepreneurship (Main Campus) and Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (Silang Campus) programs. The sessions included interviews with students, alumni, faculty members, and partner industry to assess program effectiveness, curriculum relevance, and overall quality of implementation. Additional document reviews and clarificatory discussions were also conducted to support the evaluation process.

The accreditation activities culminated on Day 3 (June 3, 2026) with a closing program. Dr. Eunice B. Custodio delivered the overall impressions, highlighting the strengths of the programs and identifying areas for further improvement. She also delivered a meaningful message, stating: “Vision does not set our dedication; it ignites our passion, breeds persistence, and gives profound meaning to every step we take.”
This was followed by messages of commitment from the deans and campus administrator of the accredited programs, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining and continuously enhancing the quality standards of their respective academic offerings. The program concluded with the closing remarks delivered by Dr. Cristina M. Signo, Vice President for Academic Affairs.

The successful conduct of the three-day Virtual Accreditation Survey Visit reflects Cavite State University's unwavering commitment to quality assurance, continuous improvement, and the delivery of excellent academic programs and services.
