In celebration of the 58th Coast Guard District National Capital Region Central Luzon Founding Anniversary, a Tree Planting Activity was conducted on April 7, 2026, at Brgy. Tambo Munti Kulit, Indang, Cavite.
The activity was headed by the Philippine Coast Guard โ Coast Guard Outpost Indang, and participated in by members from MENRO Indang, MDRRMO, Municipal Tourism Office, River Rangers, Barangay Tambo Munti Kulit Officials, and the CvSU SPRINT Center - Project IROK.

On March 26, 2026, the SPRINT Center, through its extension project Improving and Revitalizing the Opportunities for Kaong (IROK) Farmers towards a Better Quality of Life, in collaboration with the Gender and Development Resource Center (GADRC), conducted an activity entitled โSeminar on Addressing Gender Issues for Sustainable Business Development of Sugar Palm Stakeholdersโ, at the SPRINT Center Training Hall (Bulwagang Irok), Cavite State University, Indang, Cavite.
The seminar covered the following topics:
Gender Sensitive Orientation, and Sweet Empowerment: Uplifting Women through Kaong Enterprise, by Asst. Prof. Thea Maries P. Perez, GAD Resource Pool Member and Department Extension Coordinator of CEMDS;
Branding and Social Media Management by Dr. Tania Marie P. Melo, Director of Public Affairs and Communications Office (PACO); and
Orientation for DOLE Forms and Procedures by Ms. Marites A. Espineli, Livelihood Development Specialist of DOLE-Cavite
Additionally, the Extension Services Center administered a Client Satisfaction Survey (CSS) to further improve the effectiveness of the Extension Program/Project by systematically collecting and analyzing beneficiary feedback.
The activity was attended by sugar palm farmers, processors, and traders from Indang, Magallanes, and Alfonso, Cavite, as well as a representative from the Office of the Municipal Agriculturist of Indang, Cavite.

On March 23, 2026 (Monday), a coordination meeting among the heads and representatives of the Agri-Eco Tourism Park component units was successfully conducted to discuss the current status of each component, identify key issues and challenges, and propose corresponding solutions and priority programs.
The meeting served as a collaborative platform for strengthening coordination and alignment across components, enabling participants to address concerns and finalize the required documentation and demonstration minutes.
This initiative reflects the collective commitment of all component units to operational efficiency, program development, and the continuous enhancement of the Agri-Eco Tourism Park.

On March 3, 2026, the Philippine Society of Medical Technology Students (PHISMETS) โ CvSU Chapter held a tree planting activity in collaboration with the SPRINT Center at the Sugar Palm Technology, Research, Innovation, and Production (STRIP) Area, Cavite State University, in celebration of Medical Technology Week.
Participants in the activity include PHISMETS members, faculty and staff from the Department of Medical Technology and the SPRINT Center.

Cavite State University SPRINT Center strengthens its collaboration with the Municipal Government of Magallanes, Cavite through the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing, held on March 02, 2026 at the Magallanes Municipal Covered Court, supporting the development of a sustainable sugar palm industry in upland Cavite.
Through Project IROK (Improving and Revitalizing the Opportunities for Kaong Farmers towards a Better Quality of Life), efforts in capacity building, technology transfer, and community empowerment continue to support local sugar palm stakeholders.
Present at the MOA Signing were Hon. Janessa Ann Maligaya de Ramayo, Municipal Mayor of Magallanes, and Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, CvSU Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension, joined by Engr. Freddie D. Sisante, Municipal Agriculturist of Magallanes; Edgardo A. Gonzales, SPRINT Center Director; Karen Krista E. Cajilis, Project IROK Leader; and SPRINT Center personnel.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Innovation, and Extension successfully held its Year-End Review and Evaluation with the Specialized RDE Centers.
The session provided a meaningful space to reflect on the challenges and accomplishments of each unit, while also laying down strategic directions as we move forward to 2026.

LOOK - The IRUKAN sa Pamayanan, a farmerโs association based in Barangay Bancod, organized a tree planting activity on November 28, 2025, at Grace Land Farm located in Purok 3, Bancod, Indang, Cavite.
It was then led by Mr. Ronaldo Ocampo, president of IRUKAN sa Pamayanan, and was actively participated in by association members, personnel from the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Indang, representatives from the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) Indang, and staff from the Sugar Palm Research, Information, and Trade (SPRINT) Center, and Project IROK (Improving and Revitalizing the Opportunities for Kaong Farmers towards a Better Quality of Life) of Cavite State University.

The conference was hosted by Cavite State University in partnership with the Philippine Extension and Advisory Services Network (PhilEASNet) and the Philippine Association of Extension Program Implementers, Inc. (PAEPI), showing the collaborative efforts of academic and professional institutions in advancing extension programs for sustainable community development.

A ๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ญ, covering Seiri (Sort), Seiton (Systematize), Seiso (Sweep), Seiketsu (Standardize), and Sh*tsuke (Sustain), was conducted at the Sugar Palm Research, Information, and Trade (SPRINT) Center on October 6, 2025. The activity aimed to evaluate the efficiency of the unitโs workplace organization and operational management, as well as to identify areas for further improvement. Dr. Edwin R. Arboleda and Engr. Marivic G. Dizon from the College of Engineering and Information Technology facilitated the audit.
Following this, an ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ซ๐ง๐๐ฅ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฅ๐ข๐ญ๐ฒ ๐๐ฎ๐๐ข๐ญ was conducted on October 7, 2025, led by Dr. Ammie P. Ferrer, Dean of the College of Arts and Sciences. The audit aimed to evaluate the SPRINT Centerโs compliance with established quality management standards, review the effectiveness of its documented processes, and ensure alignment with institutional objectives. Through this assessment, the Centerโs operational practices, documentation, and implementation of quality procedures were carefully examined to promote continuous improvement and organizational excellence.
Present during the on-site assessments were Asst. Prof. Edgardo A. Gonzales, Director of the SPRINT Center, along with the office and field personnel.
