UPDATE: Ayon sa 8 p.m. update ng PAGASA, huling namataan ang sentro ng Bagyong sa bahagi ng General Mariano Alvarez, Cavite.

Taglay pa rin ng bagyo ang lakas ng hanging umaabot sa 95 kph malapit sa gitna at bugsong halos 115 kph. Patuloy itong kumikilos pa-northwest sa bilis na 20 kph habang tinatawid ang northern portion ng Cavite.

Sa latest track nito, matapos bagtasin ng Bagyong Paeng ang Cavite area ay tatawirin nito ang southern portion ng Bataan at posibleng lumakas pa pagdaan nito sa West Philippine Sea.

The January 29, 2022 edition of Alper-Dodger (AD) Scientific Index rated Cavite State University as the 28th top university, out of 65 public and private universities in the Philippines.

The AD Scientific Index is a ranking system with a methodology based on the principle of including only meritorious scientists. Based on Google Scholar’s total h-index scores, it lists all academicians, who are ranked in the world in the top 10,000 and top 100,000 in university rankings. Furthermore, it lists the breakdown of this ranking by main subjects.

The name of the academician with the highest total h-index in the respective university is displayed with the world ranking. Top University Ranking by “AD Scientific Index” does not only list the areas, where a university is the best or has room for improvement, but also reflects the outcomes of scientist policies of the institutions.

For Cavite State University, Dr. Melbourne R. Talactac, a Professor from the College of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (CVMBS) and currently the Vice President for Research and Extension was regarded as the top-cited scientist particularly for the study “Mucosal immunization with recombinant influenza hemagglutinin protein and poly gamma-glutamate/chitosan nanoparticles induces protection against highly pathogenic influenza A virus”.
