- Research Track

Dr. Lloyd O. Balinado presented during Session 3: Policy, Education, and Planning at the National Summit on Botanic Gardens and Arboreta sponsored by DENR-ERDB, held on May 27, 2026 at Acacia Hotel, Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
He presented โUSBONG: A University-based Native Tree Conservation and Monitoring Project,โ highlighting initiatives on native tree conservation and monitoring within CvSU.
The summit served as a venue for sharing experiences, challenges, and insights related to the establishment, management, research, and governance of botanic gardens and arboreta. It also emphasized their significance in biodiversity conservation, environmental education, ecotourism, and sustainable development.

Dr. Lloyd O. Balinado also bagged the ๐ฝ๐๐จ๐ฉ ๐๐ง๐๐จ๐๐ฃ๐ฉ๐๐ง (๐๐๐จ๐จ๐๐ค๐ฃ 2) award.
Anchored on the theme โASCEND with Integrity: Ethics as the Foundation of Extension Excellence,โ the conference was part of the university's Futures Thinking Week celebration, gathering extensionists from across the entire university system.
These achievements reflect the departmentโs excellence in extension work and showcase our commitment to uplifting communities.
