Today, we remember the life and sacrifice of Senator Benigno “Ninoy” Aquino Jr., whose assassination on August 21, 1983 became a turning point in our nation’s history.

His courage ignited the flame of democracy and inspired generations to stand for freedom, truth, and justice.

Benedictinians, let us honor his legacy by keeping alive the values he fought for.

In response to the City Government of Imus' announcement of the cancellation of classes, tomorrow, August 10, 2026 (Monday) due to the current situation, with several areas of the city experiencing flooding.

Benedictinians are advised to stay safe in their homes and listen to weather updates or possible flooding especially in flood-prone areas.

Today, we join the region in commemorating the 59th ASEAN Day, a celebration of unity, peace, and shared progress.

For us, Benedictinians, this is a call to embrace challenges with resilience, to go beyond borders in learning and service, and to nurture inclusivity in our community. Just as ASEAN continues to rise beyond differences to build solidarity, we too are called to rise beyond limits: fostering creativity, compassion, and collaboration in all we do.

Together, let us honor our heritage, strengthen our bonds, and rise beyond for a brighter, more sustainable future.

Benedictine Institute of Learning celebrates the Feast of Saint Benedict, honoring our patron whose life and legacy inspire us to rise beyond challenges with courage and conviction.

Guided by his example, the Benedictine community embraces the values that shape our journey: bravery to stand firm in faith and purpose, excellence in learning, service, and leadership, sensitivity to the needs of others with compassion, and trustworthiness that builds unity and lasting bonds.

As Benedictinians, we are called not only to commemorate his feast but to emulate his spirit in our daily lives. Rising beyond comfort, striving for excellence with humility, listening with sensitivity to those around us, and living with trustworthiness that strengthens our community.

𝗖𝗔𝗠𝗣𝗨𝗦 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 𝗜𝗡 𝗙𝗢𝗖𝗨𝗦

Benedictine Institute of Learning, in partnership with the Philippine National Police – Cavite Provincial Police Office (PNP-PPO), spearheaded a symposium on bullying and cyberbullying in schools, a usual major factor that lead to recent school violences that happened across the country.

Patrolwoman Princess Baquiran, WCPD Investigator, led the discussion on anti-bullying measures, stressing the importance of early intervention and awareness.

Meanwhile, Police Major Sergeant Angellie Cruzada, WCPD PNCO, highlighted the psychological and social impact of bullying, reminding students and educators that vigilance and empathy are key to prevention.

On the other hand, Police Senior Sergeant Zosimo Asido Jr., Chief Investigator of the Cavite PNP Cyber Response Team, tackled cybercrime and online threats, equipping participants with knowledge on responsible digital citizenship.

To cap, Imus City PNP Chief Chey Chey Saulog emphasized that bullying often escalates into intimidation and fear among children, underscoring the need for investigation and accountability in reported cases.

The symposium served as a call to action for schools, parents, and communities to strengthen their stand against bullying and cyberbullying, ensuring that every learner thrives in a safe, supportive, and bully-free environment.

This initiative reflects Benedictine community’s commitment to holistic education, where student well-being and character formation are as vital as academic excellence.
