Pastorelle - Jesus Good Shepherd School, Inc.

Pastorelle - Jesus Good Shepherd School, Inc. Providing quality Catholic Education since 1965 Jesus Good Shepherd School had a humble beginning. Over few years, from a secluded hall and garage.

In 1965, in response to the clamor of parents to have their children educated in a Catholic School, the Pastorelle Sisters inaugurated the first Kindergarten and Grade One classes in Imus in two rooms in the Bishop's residence. The first regular school day was on July 7, 1965 when JGSS welcomed 132 boys and girls. Since then, a new grade had been added each year.

There was a need for more classr

ooms. The old garage of the Bishop's House had to be transformed into classrooms. The school population grew and the possibility to transfer to a more suitable place was considered. The dream was made possible when in 1969; the new school building was inaugurated in Palico Imus, Cavite. Jesus Good Shepherd grew into a progressive Catholic School for boys and girls. Today, the physical plant has grown at an amazing pace. Its curricular offerings constantly undergo modifications and updating. It has been the school's policy to prepare her pupils in facing the demands of the modern world. Jesus Good Shepherd School has maintained her simplicity and friendliness. Her family spirit continues to bring each pupil the joy of growing not only in the intellect but above all in the image and likeness of Jesus Good Shepherd.

LEARNING BEGINS AT HOME 🏠

In times when our communities are confronted by violence and tragedy involving the young, we are reminded that education does not begin only in the classroom. The home is the first school of life, where values are formed, faith is nurtured, and compassion is learned.

Parents, guardians, families, educators, and communities all share the responsibility of guiding the next generation. Alongside academic learning, our youth must also encounter love, understanding, discipline, and hope within their homes and communities.

As Sacred Scripture reminds us:

β€œTrain the young in the way they should go; even when old, they will not swerve from it.” β€”Proverbs 22:6

Let us pray for our youth. Let us also foster them with love, understanding, and care, so that our homes may become places where faith, character, and respect for life are first learned.

Learning never ends even at home and cancellation of face to face classes 🌟

We find ways through our Flexible Learning Environment and Aralinks Learning Management System.

Recognizing that digital access is a privilege not shared by everyone in our society, our thoughts and collective prayers are with all learners who face severe resource and environmental barriers. We pray for good weather, stable conditions, good governance and an equitable world where every child can safely enjoy the gift of continuous learning πŸ™

Thank you our dear Shepherdines, parents, guardians and teachers for showing readiness, flexibility and support amidst our learning modality πŸ’ͺ πŸ™

Together, we can uphold quality Catholic Education by turning disruptions into opportunities for resilience and innovation πŸ’«
