On April 23, 2026, Ms. Mirasol A. Dizon, OJT Facilitator, and Mr. Mark Raffy M. Bacay, BSOA Program Coordinator, conducted an OJT visit to Ms. Chloe Regalado at Lufthansa Technik Philippines, an aircraft maintenance and repair company. The team was warmly welcomed by Ms. Mau, Section Manager, and Mr. Jj, Financial Analyst from the Finance – Accounts Receivables Department.
A short conference was held wherein the intern presented her assigned tasks, key learnings, and overall performance. The discussion also provided insights into the company’s operations, particularly in financial processes, client coordination, and the role of the Accounts Receivables unit in supporting the organization’s workflow. This session served as an avenue to evaluate the intern’s progress and ensure that her responsibilities are aligned with the objectives of the internship program.
The visit further strengthened the partnership between the academic institution and the host company, highlighting the importance of industry immersion in developing students’ competencies in a real-world setting. Feedback and recommendations were also shared to further enhance the intern’s professional growth, work efficiency, and adaptability in a corporate environment.
Afterwards, Mr. Jj generously accommodated the team with a guided tour of the different departments and operational areas of the company. This provided a broader perspective on the organization’s structure, workflow, and technical processes involved in aircraft maintenance. The exposure allowed the visiting team to better understand the working environment of the intern and appreciate the complexity and high standards of the aviation industry.

On April 14, 2026, the group of first-year BSOA students enrolled in the Advanced Shorthand class had the opportunity to witness a firsthand court hearing at the Municipal Trial Court in Cities – Imus Branch 1, under the sala of Executive Judge Hilda P. Mendoza-Cuartero.
This educational activity aimed to provide students with actual exposure to legal proceedings, allowing them to observe the flow of courtroom communication, legal terminologies, and the formal conduct of hearings. As part of their Advanced Shorthand training, the students were able to practice real-time note-taking, enhance their listening skills, and apply shorthand techniques in a dynamic and professional setting.
Through this experience, the students gained a deeper understanding of how shorthand can be effectively utilized in legal environments, particularly in capturing dialogues, testimonies, and court instructions accurately and efficiently. The activity also strengthened their appreciation of precision, speed, and attentiveness—key competencies required in both office administration and legal support roles.
