ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON SEPTEMBER 4

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 134, alternative learning modes and learning continuity measures shall be implemented at all levels in public and private educational institutions in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on September 4, 2026, unless their respective Local Chief Executives direct the cancellation or suspension of classes:

The measure is in view of the anticipated continued heavy rainfall associated with the enhanced Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) and poor air quality in the NCR caused by haze from severe forest and peatland fires in Kalimantan and Sumatra, Indonesia.

Localized cancellation or suspension of classes in other areas may be implemented by their respective Local Chief Executives.

Hi, IIST Tigers and Parents! 💛

Just a quick heads-up for everyone, especially those who will be coming to and from school tomorrow.

The City Government of Imus will be holding the 130th Anniversary of the Battle of Imus on September 3, 2026 (Thursday), from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Battle of Imus Monument, near PNP Camp BGen Pantaleon Garcia.

Because of the expected number of participants and possible traffic and mobility arrangements in the area, please expect possible delays along nearby roads and allow extra travel time when going to or leaving the school.

For our learners from the IIST Basic Education Department taking their End-of-Term Examinations, please plan your trip accordingly and leave home a little earlier if possible. 😊

We also ask our parents, teachers, and school personnel to be mindful of the traffic situation and make the necessary adjustments to their travel schedules.

Let’s also take this opportunity to appreciate and remember an important part of Imus’ history and our country’s struggle for freedom. 🇵🇭

We deeply mourn the passing of our beloved Coach Luis Gornez Llanera, a dedicated teacher, volleyball coach, and sports photographer, who passed away on the morning of August 28, 2026.

For 31 years of dedicated service to IIST, he touched the lives of countless students and athletes through his guidance, dedication, and passion for education and sports. He taught not only athletic skills but also the values of teamwork, perseverance, discipline, and sportsmanship.

Though he is no longer with us, the lessons, memories, and inspiration he shared will forever remain in our hearts.

Rest in peace, Coach Luis G. Llanera. Your legacy will never be forgotten. 🕊️🤍

📢 SUSPENSION OF CLASSES

Walang pasok ngayong Sabado, August 29, 2026!

Dahil sa masamang lagay ng panahon dulot ng Low Pressure Area (LPA) at Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), suspendido ang face-to-face classes para sa Open High School, Senior High School at College students sa mga pampubliko at pribadong paaralan sa Cavite.

🌧️ Para sa kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral, pinapayuhan ang lahat na manatili sa ligtas na lugar at patuloy na abangan ang mga susunod na opisyal na anunsyo mula sa inyong paaralan.

Alinsunod sa Memorandum Circular No. 131 ng Malacañang, suspendido pa rin ang face-to-face classes sa lahat ng antas sa Lungsod ng Imus bukas, Agosto 20, 2026 (Huwebes) dahil sa Hanging Habagat na pinalalakas ng Bagyong . 🌀

Pinapayuhan ang mga paaralan na ipatupad ang Alternative Learning Modalities upang maipagpatuloy ang pagkatuto ng ating mga mag-aaral. Ipatutupad naman ang Skeletal Work Arrangement sa Pamahalaang Lungsod ng Imus upang matiyak ang patuloy na paghahatid ng serbisyo publiko.

Hinihikayat ang lahat na manatiling ligtas, alerto at mapagmatyag. Iwasang lumabas kung hindi kinakailangan at patuloy na subaybayan ang mga opisyal na abiso at weather updates.

Kaligtasan ng bawat Imuseño ang ating pangunahing prayoridad. Ingat po tayong lahat! 🙏

🕊️ PANALANGIN PARA SA MGA BIKTIMA AT PARA SA KALIGTASAN

Sa gitna ng pangamba dulot ng mga insidente ng school-based violence, sama-sama tayong manalangin.

Ngayong panahon ng pagdadalamhati, idalangin natin ang mga biktima ng karahasan at ang kanilang mga pamilya—na pagkalooban sila ng kapayapaan, lakas, at kaaliwan sa gitna ng matinding pagkawala.

Kasabay nito, ipanalangin din natin ang kaligtasan ng bawat mag-aaral, magulang, g**o, at kawani. Nawa’y gabayan tayo ng karunungan, malasakit, at pagkakaisa upang patuloy nating mapangalagaan ang ating mga paaralan bilang mga ligtas na lugar para sa bawat bata.

🙏 Sama-sama tayong manalangin—para sa mga nasaktan at nawalan, para sa mga nagluluksa, at para sa kaligtasan ng bawat isa.

Panginoon, ingatan Mo kami, aliwin Mo ang mga nagluluksa, at gabayan Mo ang aming buong IIST community.
