As the final day of KAMPSAMA 2026 unfolds at the Di**le Campus, the "Home of Kampsama" was silenced by the powerful resonance of a true leader’s wisdom. Dr. Raul F. Muyong, CHEDRO VI Regional Director, delivered a masterclass in governance, stripping away the prestige of office to reveal the heart of service. His message was clear: “Leadership is not about your title; it is about your behavior.” In a world often obsessed with positions, he challenged our student-leaders to let their actions be their loudest credential.

By reminding us that “A leader must know the way, go the way, and show the way,” Dr. Muyong bridged the gap between vision and reality. His presence at the very cradle of ISUFST leadership served as a living blueprint for Pag-alpas—proving that to transcend boundaries, one must first walk the path of integrity. As we prepare to leave these hallowed grounds, we carry with us not just memories, but a renewed mandate to lead by example and drive advocacy through our daily conduct.

A visionary leader and a true champion of quality education, Dr. Raul F. Muyong currently serves as the Regional Director of CHED Region VI. With a career spanning decade of institutional transformation, Dr. Muyong brings a wealth of local and international expertise to the landscape of higher education.

His dedication was recently solidified when he received the “Manuel T. Corpus Outstanding Quality Champion Award” in 2025 for his relentless pursuit of academic rigor and accreditation standards.

A Magna Cum Laude graduate and a Doctor of Education from West Visayas State University, Dr. Muyong continues to shape the future of Region VI by ensuring that our higher education institutions meet the highest global standards.

To lead as a servant is to recognize that our past challenges and triumphs are not just personal milestones, but the very tools we use to lift others up. By allowing our lived experiences to shape our empathy and resolve, we transform from mere authority figures into grounded "hope-bearers" who understand the weight of the journey. When we lead from a place of service, we prove that the most influential leaders are those who have been refined by their experiences to prioritize the growth of their community over the prestige of their position.

This shift in perspective moves us away from the pursuit of titles and toward the weight of accountability we hold for those we lead. It suggests that being at the helm is not about the perks of power, but about the duty to protect, empower, and advocate for the "least, the last, and the lost." In the context of education and values formation, this responsibility means showing up every day with the intention to serve a cause greater than oneself—ensuring that every decision made is a step toward the collective progress of our community and our nation.

In a world increasingly driven by the allure of instant gratification, Prof. Bactan challenges us to recalibrate our internal compass with a powerful reminder: "We must shift our thinking from short-term actions to lasting impact." This philosophy serves as a clarion call for educators, leaders, and students alike to move beyond the "quick fix" and instead invest in the slow, intentional work of transformation. Whether it is through mentoring the next generation of Social Studies teachers or fostering deep-seated values in the youth, Prof. Bactan emphasizes that true success is not measured by the applause of today, but by the legacy of empowerment that remains long after we leave the room. It is a prompt to stop merely "doing" and start "building"—ensuring that every effort we make contributes to a sustainable future for our communities and our country.

The sun isn't the only thing rising in Di**le! ☀️ Our Kampers kicked off the day with a high-octane Zumba session to get the blood pumping and the spirits high. There’s no better way to prep for a day of leadership training than with a little rhythm and a lot of sweat. 🕺💃
