Even when the rain feels endless, hope remains.
Fear whispers as weโre lost in the fray,
Grades fall, and worries grow day by day.
We drown in things we cannot see or hold,
A quiet struggle, heavy, lone, and cold.
Questions rise like waves that crash and shake:
Will we make it through? Will the storm break?
We long for peace, release from the fight,
To breathe once more, to rest in gentler light.
But then comes a sunset, soft and warm,
A promise glowing through the storm.
Even in shadows, light appears;
Even in chaos, calm draws near.
You gave your all, you did your bestโ
Now let your weary heart find rest. ๐

Kindness doesnโt cost anything, yet it can mean everything to someone whoโs struggling. Weโll never truly know how much a simple act of compassion can impact a personโs dayโor even their will to keep going. No one fully understands the weight another person carriesโtheir silent battles, their unspoken fears, the exhaustion behind their smiles. Sometimes, the smallest gesture or the softest words are enough to remind someone that they are not alone, that the world can still be gentle amid all the chaos.
We often forget that empathy isnโt just about understandingโitโs about feeling with someone, even when we canโt completely grasp their pain. Life can be unpredictable and, at times, painfully cruel. But there is always a choiceโto stay kind, to stay gentle, even when the world isnโt. Choose not to add to someoneโs hurt. Choose to be the reason someone feels seen, safe, and understood.
Be the hand that helps someone get back up, the voice that reminds them theyโre not alone. Your kindness might be the reason someone decides to hold on a little longerโto believe that healing is still possible, that life can still be kind.

And to anyone who feels lost right nowโplease know itโs okay to ask for help. You donโt have to carry everything on your own. You are not alone in this fight. You matter more than you realize, and you have a purpose this world still needs.
Believe in yourself, even on the days it feels hardestโbecause there are people out there who already believe in you.
Magpadayon lang. ;

โOn this day, letโs honor the quiet strength within each of us. Your mind is a sacred gardenโtend it gently, for every thought and feeling is a seed with the power to grow hope or despair. Like rivers that flow quietly and stars that patiently shine, healing unfolds in its own time.

Courage is found not in perfection, but in the bravery to face each dayโto ask for help, and to offer kindness to others. A single act of compassion can brighten even the darkest night. ๐ค๐ซ
โTogether, we can break the chains of stigma and build a world where every mind is cared for and every voice matters. Be the light, be the hope, be the gentle hand that lifts another. ๐ฉท

๐๐๐ฌ๐ ๐ | IDC Psychology Society, GSO Hold Mental Health Awareness Session
The Iloilo Doctors' College (IDC) Psychology Society, in collaboration with IDC Guidance and Services Office (GSO), recently conducted a Mental Health Awareness Session at the Basic Education Department (BED)โAlumni Hall, October 6.
With the theme โTogether for Mental Wellness: Guidance for Stress and Su***de Prevention,โ guest speaker Dr. Mary Joy Ann Aguadera highlighted that โsu***de is a cry for help,โ pushing the students to be proactive in addressing mental health concerns.
โAs students, you will act as support. Hindi natin matutulungan ang lahat but we can start with an act of kindness ,โ she said, further emphasizing the essence of open conversation, empathy, and compassion.
Dr. Ana Eva Y. Tirador, Dean of Students, also expressed her support, assuring students that they will receive the collective guidance they need.
โWe and the Guidance Office are here to help you,โ she said.
The Mental Health Awareness Session was organized to address mental health concerns, early intervention, and self-care in continuing the initiatives toward supportive and mentally healthy students.

Student-psychologists bound by their desire for knowledge flocked to IDCโs Alumni Hall to quench their thirst for learning and to take part in the Psychology First Aid Training held last Saturday, October 4, 2025. Ms. Kyrie Elieson Gicole from St. Paulโs University (SPUI) and Ms. Dianne Lois Senegocio from Central Philippine University (CPU) played a massive part in the afternoonโs knowledge-gaining agendas as they dispersed their intellect about su***de and psychological first aid, in line with the Su***de Prevention Month which was observed last month.
As an outstanding 4th-Year Psychology student from SPUI, Ms. Gicole tackled the significance of su***de prevention as well as the gravity of the subject matter itself, stating that su***de is preventable, when awareness and timely action are etched together. She also stressed the importance of the role of psychology students as โ๐ ๐๐ญ๐๐ค๐๐๐ฉ๐๐ซ๐ฌโ of mental health who determine and carve a path for people at risk. According to her, students of the said program are the ones who are being harnessed as ๐๐๐๐๐๐ญ๐ข๐ฏ๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ง๐ญ๐๐ฅ ๐๐๐ฏ๐จ๐๐๐ญ๐๐ฌ. She placed a dot on her presentation by showing an award-winning video that emphasized the vitality of uttering three simple wordsโ โ๐๐ซ๐ ๐ฒ๐จ๐ฎ ๐จ๐ค๐๐ฒ?โ
On the other hand, Ms. Senegocio embarked on a journey that brought a light on the value of ๐๐ฌ๐ฒ๐๐ก๐จ๐ฅ๐จ๐ ๐ข๐๐๐ฅ ๐
๐ข๐ซ๐ฌ๐ญ ๐๐ข๐ or PFA. As PSYnapse's President for External Affairs, she consistently pursues several activities that can be traced back to mental health, a fact that spells out her full consciousness about PFA. She covered large swaths of topics in relation to Psychological First Aidโ from its proper procedure and potency, to minuscule details such as body language and slight movements, which, in consonance with what she said, is a feature that is essential in order to build a strong foundation of trust and assurance between the patient and the person conducting the PFA.
As pillars of mental health awareness, Ms. Gicole and Ms. Senegocio steered the spotlight on the weigh of su***de and PFA, paving the way for future psychologists to come and one day, aid in the crippling dilemma grounded on psychological problems.
