𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦 | 𝗠𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗲 𝗔𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲

The ISAT U Leon Campus Covered Court was filled with energy and enthusiasm on May 4, 2026, as aspiring SR candidates took the stage during the Miting de Avance. It became a space where voices were amplified, ideas were shared, and leadership potential was showcased before the Innovators.

The event featured two dynamic parties—𝗕.𝗘.𝗔.𝗧. (Boldness, Excellence, Accountability, Transparency) Party led by presidential candidate Aris John A. Caceres, and 𝗔.𝗥.𝗔.𝗡.𝗚.𝗞.𝗔.𝗗.𝗔. (Achieving Results through Action, Nurturing Good Governance and Knowledge, Advancing Discipline and Academic Excellence) Party headed by presidential candidate Jemer S. Taguibe. Each party presented their platforms alongside their respective candidates, highlighting their goals, advocacies, and commitment to serve the student body. As election day approaches, may every Innovator take this opportunity to reflect and choose leaders who will uphold integrity, accountability, and genuine service.

As part of the forthcoming Student Republic Elections 2026, the Student Republic Commission on Elections respectfully invites the student body to attend the Miting de Avance 2026, a significant pre-election event that serves as a formal venue for qualified candidates to present their platforms, advocacies, priorities, and vision for student leadership to the academic community of Iloilo Science and Technology University – Leon Campus.

As preparations for the 𝗦𝗥 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 begin, the 𝗜𝗹𝗼𝗶𝗹𝗼 𝗦𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽𝘂𝘀 – 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗦𝗥-𝗖𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗟𝗘𝗖) has finalized and published the 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗰𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀, with two political parties fielding their respective slates for the highest student leadership positions.

Leading the race is the 𝗕.𝗘.𝗔.𝗧. (𝗕𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗔𝗰𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆) 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆, headed by presidential candidate 𝗔𝗿𝗶𝘀 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗔. 𝗖𝗮𝗰𝗲𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 vice presidential candidate 𝗟𝗲𝘄𝗶𝘀 𝗕𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗔. 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮, alongside 𝟭𝟭-𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲.

Challenging them is the 𝗔.𝗥.𝗔.𝗡.𝗚.𝗞.𝗔.𝗗.𝗔. (𝗔𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗔𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗞𝗻𝗼𝘄𝗹𝗲𝗱𝗴𝗲, 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗔𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗘𝘅𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲) 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘆, bannered by presidential candidate 𝗝𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗦. 𝗧𝗮𝗴𝘂𝗶𝗯𝗲 and vice presidential candidate 𝗖𝗿𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝘆𝗻 𝗖. 𝗚𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗲, with 𝗔𝘀𝗵𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲 𝗕. 𝗕𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗶𝗼 representing the party in the senatorial race.

With both parties now officially in the running, the upcoming elections are poised to become a defining moment in shaping the future of student leadership and governance

The filing of the Certificate of Candidacy (COC) for the Student Republic has been extended until April 23, 2026.

Requirements for Filing of COC:
• Accomplished COC Form
• Scanned copy of School ID (front and back)
• 2×2 ID picture
• Copy of Grades (1st Semester)
• Good Moral Certificate
• List of Party Members (if applicable)

Important Reminders:
All aspiring candidates must:
• Have no failing grade (5.0)
• Have no INC, based on the 1st Semester, A.Y. 2025–2026 transcript record

This presents a meaningful chance to engage in student leadership and represent the interests of the student body. Those who are committed to service, advocacy, and driving positive change are strongly encouraged to file their candidacy within the designated period.
