STEP 7: Get to know her better, and when the time is right, say it, but say it meaningfully (see Tips for choosing the right time).

When you tell her, if you are assuming that she will take "love" as too much, tell her why. Tell her how you truly care about her and that you never want to do anything to hurt her, how something inside you jumps when you see her smile. Make sure she knows that you honestly care about her.

STEP 6: Ask her out, as long as she doesn't have a boyfriend. Don't stutter or shift uncomfortably. This will let her know that you're nervous. Look her in the eye most of the time, so that she feels more comfortable. (Some girls find a little shyness or nervousness to be cute.)

STEP 5: Decide how you're going to ask her out. Plan it thoroughly, so that you won't make mistakes.

STEP 4: Start to hint that you like her. She may start to understand that you like her through subtle hints, rather than an all-out declaration of love. This also might give you a clue as to how she feels about you. For instance, if you try to flirt and she doesn't respond well, or dismisses you, it may be best to wait and let your friendship grow. If she catches you staring at her, then smiles or winks, it may mean that she feels the same way.

STEP 3: Don't mess other things up. If you are really good friends, then telling her you love her is a risky move. If she's not interested, there's a chance that the rest of your interactions will be awkward. There is a possibility that you won't be able to stay friends after she learns how you feel. If you're really worried about this, you may not want to say anything just yet.

STEP 2: Become friends with her. After step 1, now you are confident and you know that she has to say yes, so to double the chances of her saying yes, you need to be friends with her first. If you are going to meet her for the 1st time just talk to her like you are talking to your best buddy and spend some time with her (try to get to her alone). Try to talk to her regularly and after a week or so I bet you will really be hitting it off.
