Good morning Barangay Veterans Village City Proper residents!

Stay hydrated guys, indi magtinir sa gwa from 10am-4pm. Ma worsen pa gid ini bangud sang “super el niño”. Possible maka reach 52 degrees diri sa aton.

To All Barangay Veterans Village Residents

Due to the ENERGY CRISIS we are experiencing right now, here are the SUGGESTED, PRACTICAL and EFFECTIVE ways to conserve energy at home.

1. Only used essential appliances, what you truly need like lights, refrigeration and other basic communication devices. Limit the use of high energy appliances like air conditioners, electric stoves and washing machine unless necessary.

2. Open windows during the day to let in sunlight and fresh air, instead of using electric lights and electric fan.

3. Turn off lights, fans, and appliances as well as chargers when not in use.

4. If possible, switch to LED bulbs instead of traditional bulbs.

5. Cook in batches to save energy.

6. Avoid frequently opening the refrigerator door.

7. Reduce Water Heating. Use cold water when possible.

8. Educate your constituents and everyone at home—especially children—about the importance of saving energy during a crisis so that conservation becomes a shared responsibility.

By adopting these habits, households not only save on energy costs but also contribute to a more sustainable and resilient community during challenging times.
