Last September 30, 2025, the Physics-Integrated Science Unit conducted a series of demonstrations at SPED-Integrated School for Exceptional Children as part of the school’s culminating event entitled “Science Unlocked: Fun Tricks and Demos.”
The activity sought to inspire elementary learners to cultivate a love for science through interactive demonstrations and experiments. Learners, along with their teachers, explored various scientific concepts through activities such as microscopy, acid–base indicators, basic circuits, earthquake simulators, baking soda and vinegar reactions, pressure experiments, and projectile motion demonstrations.
The Physics-Integrated Science Unit expresses its gratitude to Ma’am Cecilia Gapit, Science Coordinator, and Ma’am Astrid Haresco, School Principal, for their warm welcome and support in making the event possible.
This collaboration underscores the importance of making science accessible, engaging, and meaningful for young learners, nurturing their curiosity and passion for discovery. 🚀🌟

🤖 Pueblo Science Camp – Day 2 PM Highlights
We wrapped up the camp with an exciting robotics competition, where participants showcased the skills they developed over the two-day training! 💡🚗
Each team was challenged to program their robot to complete a maze made from electrical tape, using infrared and ultrasonic sensors to detect and follow the path. It was a true test of creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration--and our teacher-participants rose to the challenge!
🏅 The afternoon concluded with the awarding of prizes and certificates, followed by meaningful closing remarks from our partners from the University of Toronto and Pueblo Science.
A huge thank you to all our participants from Iloilo and Negros Occidental for bringing your energy and passion for science education. Together, we’re building empowered classrooms and inspired learners--through the integration of robotics and real-world STEM learning.
