QSES SELG Officers and QSES Chronicles Hold Joint Training-Workshop on Campus Journalism and Team Building
The QSES SELG Officers and QSES Chronicles successfully conducted a joint training-workshop on campus journalism and team building, bringing together 40 enthusiastic participants for a day of learning, collaboration, and fun. The activity aimed to strengthen leadership skills, enhance writing abilities, and promote unity among young leaders and campus journalists.
A highlight of the event was the inspiring session of Mrs. Sarah Jane Sabado Quisto, who served as the guest speaker. In her talk titled *βThe Art of Leadership: Inspiring and Empowering Others,β* Mrs. Quisto shared valuable insights on what it truly means to be a leader. She emphasized that leadership is not about position or power, but about influence, service, and character. Through real-life examples and engaging activities, she encouraged the learners to lead with integrity, confidence, and compassion. She reminded them that a true leader empowers others, listens actively, and builds people up rather than tearing them down.
The participants were divided into five groups, where they engaged in various team-building activities designed to develop cooperation, communication, and trust. Each group worked hand in hand to complete challenges, share ideas, and support one another. Laughter filled the venue as learners cheered for their teammates and celebrated small victories together, strengthening friendships along the way.
Through brainstorming and group tasks, they learned to organize ideas clearly and produce quality outputs as one team. The activity highlighted the power of collaborationβshowing that when learners unite, help one another, and respect each otherβs ideas, they achieve excellent results.
The success of the event was also made possible through the strong support of the parents, who encouraged their children to participate and grow. Their trust and guidance motivated the learners to step out of their comfort zones and confidently take on leadership roles.
The joint training-workshop was more than just an academic activityβit was a meaningful experience where learners united as one, strengthened friendships, and discovered that true leadership is about inspiring, empowering, and working together toward a common goal.
