The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences proudly presents CFOS Pagpasidungog 2026, a recognition ceremony honoring the academic excellence, leadership, service, and outstanding achievements of our students on July 8, 2025, at the Little Theater, UPV Iloilo City campus with the theme, โ€œWaves of Excellence, Oceans of Possibilityโ€.

Much like the vast and ever-changing ocean, the academic journey is rarely a predictable path. Tides shift, conditions change, and progress is seldom linear. This yearโ€™s awardees have met those conditions with the patience and diligence that rigorous scientific inquiry necessitates, and pressing forward with clarity of purpose. Whether in the field, the laboratory, or the classroom, they have demonstrated what it means to pursue knowledge with both discipline and curiosity.

Their achievements are not born from calm waters alone. They are proof that excellence is forged in the storm, in the resolve to keep moving forward, to create ripples of positive impact in the university and far beyond its shores, built not on ideal conditions, but on the commitment to keep going when conditions are anything but.

As we celebrate this year's awardees, we celebrate the promise they carry as future scientists, educators, leaders, and stewards of our oceans. It is our hope that their remarkable achievements will inspire others to cast their own aspirations farther, dive deeper into their personal commitment to learning, and strive to contribute meaningfully to the Philippineโ€™s diverse communities and fragile ecosystems they ought to serve.
