On June 29, 2026, at Casa Real de Iloilo, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region VI, in partnership with the Iloilo Provincial Government and PPSK Iloilo, successfully held 𝘿𝙞𝙨𝙠𝙪𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣 𝙠𝙖𝙜 𝘼𝙠𝙨𝙮𝙤𝙣: 𝘼 𝙔𝙤𝙪𝙩𝙝-𝘾𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙘 𝙎𝙪𝙢𝙢𝙞𝙩 𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙧𝙪𝙜 𝘼𝙬𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙧𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣.

The DagYoung Student Ambassadors were honored to be among the invited youth representatives, joining fellow student leaders and youth organizations in meaningful discussions on drug awareness and prevention. Through expert-led sessions and collaborative workshops, participants developed youth-led advocacy initiatives aimed at fostering safer, healthier, and more resilient communities.

As today's conversations turn into tomorrow's actions, may we continue to champion informed leadership, compassionate service, and community-driven solutions.

𝗜𝗡 𝗣𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗢𝗦: A new chapter of student leadership begins as the newly elected DagYoung Student Ambassadors took their oath of office before WVSU President Dr. Joselito F. Villaruz.

Marking a fresh start to their duties and responsibilities, the 𝐧𝐞𝐰𝐥𝐲 𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐃𝐚𝐠𝐘𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐠 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 officially took their 𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔, at the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐕𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐬 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The ceremony was presided over by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐨 𝐅. 𝐕𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐮𝐳, 𝐒𝐔𝐂 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐈𝐕 who served as the administering officer. In his brief remarks, Dr. Villaruz emphasized the 𝐯𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 in representing the institution’s values and 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐭𝐬 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐡 𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲.

As they begin their term, the DagYoung Student Ambassadors pledged to wholeheartedly 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲’𝐬 𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. They committed to 𝐟𝐨𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐮𝐬 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩, encouraging respect for diversity, and 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐟𝐮𝐥 𝐜𝐫𝐨𝐬𝐬-𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 and understanding among students, faculty, and visitors alike. Through their active participation in various programs and initiatives, they aim to 𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐠𝐞𝐬 𝐛𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐜𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞𝐬, helping to create a 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐲 𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐲.

The 𝐁𝐀𝐆𝐀𝐍𝐈 𝐅𝐞𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐰𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 is a 𝐟𝐮𝐥𝐥𝐲-𝐟𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐝, 𝐨𝐧𝐞-𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐡, 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞, 𝐢𝐧-𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐬𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦 designed to strengthen 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐠𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐩𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 through structured mentorship, peer collaboration, innovation project design, and exposure to 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬.

Beyond this remarkable achievement, Amabela's 𝐝𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐱𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐫𝐲 𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 have inspired and been deeply appreciated by her fellow Student Ambassadors.
