JA- SHS JOINS 2026 REGIONAL WORK IMMERSION FAIR

JBLFMU (Arevalo), Inc. – Senior High School proudly takes part in the 2026 Regional Work Immersion Fair, held on September 18, 2026, at Malinao National School for Philippine Craftsmen, Malinao, Aklan, with the theme: “Bridging Aspiration and Opportunity: Strengthening Industry–School Partnerships.”

JBLFMU (Arevalo) was duly represented by the School Principal, Mary Mae Jun P. Esmaya, PhD and Work Immersion Coordinator, 2/M Francis Felicisimo U. Bolido. We also bring our partners from JBL Maritime Vanguard and JBLF Training Center represented by Capt. Jonathan E. Villaflor, General Manager (JBL Maritime Vanguard), Mrs. Mary Rose S. Amboy, Admin Manager and HR (JBL Maritime Vanguard). Our partners from the Naval Reserve Center - Western Visayas, Reserve Command, Philippine Navy was represented by S2CY John Benedict M Rull, PN (PIC, Operations RC3) and ASN Jhamell R Maundo, PN (PIC, RRA Branch).

The event brings together schools, industry partners, educators, and stakeholders to promote meaningful collaboration between the academe and the workplace. It provides a valuable avenue for sharing best practices, exploring opportunities, and strengthening partnerships that support the effective implementation of work immersion programs.

For JBLFMU (Arevalo), Inc. – Senior High School, participation in this regional initiative reflects its commitment to providing learners with relevant, authentic, and industry-aligned experiences. Through strong partnerships with industry and other stakeholders, the school continues to help learners develop the knowledge, skills, values, confidence, and workplace readiness needed as they prepare for higher education, employment, entrepreneurship, and future careers.

Last August 24 and 26, the Grade 12 students of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. - Senior High School took another bold step toward turning ideas into innovations as they presented their Research Proposals —showcasing the rationale, design blueprint, and potential benefits of their proposed prototypes for the maritime community.

Driven by excellence, ingenuity, and a vision for a smarter and safer maritime industry, our young innovators faced the challenge head-on before a panel composed of their Research 1 Teacher, Robotics Teacher, and a Maritime Expert. Together, the panel provided valuable insights as the students examined the feasibility, practicability, functionality, and potential improvements of their proposed studies.

From the drawing board to the prototype bench, these Lacsonians are proving that research is more than a requirement—it is a voyage of discovery, problem-solving, and purposeful innovation.🌊🔧

𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐈𝐃-𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐘: 𝐋𝐀𝐂𝐒𝐎𝐍𝐈𝐀𝐍𝐒 𝐏𝐔𝐓 𝐅𝐈𝐑𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐈𝐃 𝐒𝐊𝐈𝐋𝐋𝐒 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐓𝐄𝐒𝐓 🩹

Preparedness is not just about knowing what to do; it is about having the confidence, competence, and composure to do it when it matters most.

Last August 17 and 20, the Grade 12 Senior High School students of John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University (Arevalo), Inc. took part in the First Aid Management and Response Evaluation Activities for their First Aid subject. The meaningful activity was evaluated by the JBLF Training Center - Arevalo Site under the supervision of 2/M Orlie R. Sican, MSMM, Training Supervisor, and Ms. Zandra Payofelin Santerva, RN.

Under the critical eyes of these experts, the students faced realistic scenarios requiring them to demonstrate proper dressing, bandaging, and splinting techniques. More than simply recalling concepts from the classroom, the activity challenged students to translate theoretical knowledge and practical instruction into decisive action.

Prior to their skills test with the Training Center, the students showcased their situational awareness in performing essential first aid inside their classroom through the guidance of the Disaster Risk and Reduction Unit (DRRU) Officers of the university who provided them constructive feedback about their first aid application.

The goal goes beyond passing an evaluation. It is about empowering future maritime professionals to become capable first aiders — ready to respond, ready to act, and ready to make a difference when it matters most.

The Senior High School Parents-Teachers Association (SHS-PTA) successfully held its Induction Ceremony on August 14, 2026, at the Conference Room, Administrator’s Office.

The ceremony formally welcomed and inducted the newly elected SHS-PTA Officers for School Year 2026–2027. It was a meaningful gathering that highlighted the importance of partnership, commitment, and collaboration between the school and the parents in supporting the students’ growth and success.

Final Round. Final Buzz. Final Stand for Resilience.

The Senior High School successfully conducted the National Disaster Resilience Month Quiz Bee Final Round (Intersection).

The Quiz Bee aimed to spark a culture of preparedness, informed decision-making, and collective action. Because resilience begins with knowledge, and is sustained when we all do our part before, during, and after disasters.

Today, the dedicated educators of the Senior High School Department came together for the 2026 INSET Echo Seminar, united by a shared commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and educational innovation. Through insightful discussions on the revised Senior High School curriculum, effective instructional practices, and authentic assessment strategies, participants strengthened their knowledge and reaffirmed a fundamental principle: quality education begins with teachers who continuously strive to learn, adapt, and grow.

This collaborative learning activity supports SDG 4: Quality Education by strengthening teachers' competencies through professional development, enhancing instructional practices, and promoting lifelong learning for quality education.
