St. Joseph School (Iloilo), Inc. SJS PHILOSOPHY
The SJS Community consists of (1) the Pupils and Students, (2) the Teachers and Administration and (3) the Parents. Joseph.

The school's philosophy is to provide a holistic formation which the home alone cannot give and to closely collaborate with the latter in those aspects of formation which it can provide. This points to the proper education of the children which is primarily the responsibility of the parents. This education is realized to a great extent depending on the parents' own formation, and also on the teachers who act in their stead at school. This is why SJS provides formation and enrichment activities for the families of the pupils and students. VISION STATEMENT
We envision ourselves to be disciplined, skillful, honest and work-oriented individuals concerned with total human development living up to excellence in any endeavor out of love for God and people, standing up for what is right and possessing integrity with a firm sense of responsibility while facing and living life with humility in the image of St. MISSION STATEMENT
Guided and enabled by the life of St. Joseph, we therefore commit ourselves to:
• faith and love for God
• love for work
• respect for truth and courage to speak out the truth
• sincerity and humility in thoughts, words and actions
• respect for individual differences and human dignity
• respect and obedience to authorities
• loyalty to the social structure which we are part of
• dedication, patience and perseverance in the fulfillment of our objectives
• generosity in dealing with one another
• justice in our dealings with ourselves and others
• sense of responsibility

GOALS
To live selflessly our role as agents of change in the total development of humanity, thereby living a life guided by the virtues of St. OBJECTIVES
To provide the basic knowledge and develop the foundational skills, attitudes and values, including the moral and spiritual dimensions essential to the individual's development necessary for living in and contributing to a developing and changing milieu. To provide learning experiences which increase the individual's awareness of and responsiveness to the changes in society, and to prepare him for constructive and effective involvement. To promote work experiences which develop and enhance the individual's orientation to the world of work and creativity in order to prepare him to engage in honest and gainful work.
