𝗦𝗣𝗨𝗜 𝗦𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝘂𝗿𝗻𝘀 𝗢𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝘂𝗲𝗹 𝗟. 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝘇𝗼𝗻 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹

The Paulinian Student Government (PSG) S.Y. 2025–2026, in partnership with SPUI Community Extension Services, launched the 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙢𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙮 𝘾𝙤𝙤𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙡𝙞𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙙 𝙎𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙤𝙧𝙩 𝙄𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙞𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙫𝙚 on September 12, 2026, at Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School.
Guided by the theme “𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙞𝙣 𝘼𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣: 𝙋𝙖𝙪𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙞𝙖𝙣𝙨 𝙇𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙈𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣,” the initiative aims to support sustainable livelihood opportunities and strengthen self-reliance within SPUI’s adopted community.
Led by outgoing PSG President Maita Sofia C. Tonel, the activity also marked the transition between the outgoing and incoming PSG councils. Joining the activity were the incoming PSG S.Y. 2026–2027 council and student representatives from the College of Nursing; College of Arts, Sciences, and Education; College of HM, Tourism Management, and Nutrition and Dietetics; and College of Business and Information Technology.
The activity was supported by SPUI NSTP Coordinator Mr. Kent Frederick G. Gole, Community Extension Services Coordinator Ms. Yolanda S. Santacera, and Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School Principal Ms. Matilde E. Farinas, together with representatives from the ERDA Parents Organization and SPTA, DepEd Schools Division Office, Manuel L. Quezon Elementary School, and Barangay Kahirupan.
The program concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, formally marking the launch of the livelihood project and the continued partnership between SPUI and the community.

St. Paul University Iloilo proudly calls on all talented Paulinian college students to audition for the university’s Cultural Club, a creative group that fosters artistic expression and cultural heritage.

The auditions are set for September 14, 2026, Monday, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the Big IMC. Successful applicants in dance, theatre and music will have the honor of performing in the grand festivities marking the 80th anniversary of SPUI, a milestone in the institution’s legacy of excellence.

The Cultural Club continues to stand as a vibrant platform for nurturing creativity, showcasing talent, and celebrating Paulinian identity. This year’s auditions promise to bring together voices, movements, and stories that will illuminate the stage with artistry and pride.⚜️⚜️⚜️

St. Paul University Iloilo Basic Education made a strong showing in swimming at the Iloilo PRISAA 2026–2027, securing three podium finishes at Central Philippine University (CPU) on August 15–16.

Leading the Secondary Girls category, Hiede Bon G. Nava of Grade 10, Our Lady of Chartres, captured silver in the 100-meter butterfly stroke and bronze in the 200-meter butterfly stroke.

Meanwhile, Gabrielle Anne V. Majarucon of Grade 12, Our Lady of Peñafrancia, secured bronze in the 200-meter breaststroke, adding another podium finish for the SPUI Basic Education swimming team.

Also representing the school in the competition were Yzekiel Yojann S. Cullo of Grade 7, Our Lady of Lourdes, who participated in the Secondary Boys category, and Greigh Mikelle J. Tuvilla of Grade 4, St. Peter, who competed in Elementary Swimming Boys.

With three podium finishes across the Secondary Girls category, SPUI Basic Education’s swimmers demonstrated their skill and determination in the pool, adding another achievement to the school’s growing presence in Iloilo PRISAA.

From butterfly strokes to breaststroke, the Paulinian swimmers made their mark at the two-day competition, bringing home medals and representing SPUI Basic Education with honor and pride.

Due to heavy rains and flooding brought by the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), St. Paul University Iloilo suspends all face-to-face classes and work for personnel today, August 18, 2026.

• Teaching personnel are advised to continue instruction through the Learning Management System (LMS).

• The DRRM, General Services, and Security Team will ensure safety and conduct post-incident monitoring.

First Athletics Entry, Historic Podium Finishes

ST. PAUL UNIVERSITY ILOILO—BASIC ED. MAKES ATHLETICS DEBUT | St. Paul University Iloilo Basic Education marked its first-ever participation in athletics at the Iloilo PRISAA 2026–2027, earning historic podium finishes as Francine Marie Eligio and Rafael Ed Bernal brought home bronze and silver medals, respectively, at the Iloilo Sports Complex on August 15–16.

Making history in the school’s inaugural athletics delegation, Francine Marie Eligio, representing the Secondary Girls category, secured bronze in the 3,000-meter run, clocking in at 13:43.4 on August 15. She also placed fourth in the 1,500-meter run on August 16.

Meanwhile, Rafael Ed Bernal, competing in the Secondary Boys category, claimed silver in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 19:49 on August 15.

Also representing the Secondary Boys category, Ethan Adrian Samson Dorado competed in the 400-meter run, finishing as a finalist on August 15.

The podium finishes mark a significant start for SPUI Basic Education’s athletics team, with both the Secondary Boys and Girls categories making their presence felt in the school’s debut.

From their first step onto the PRISAA track to their first medals, the Paulinian athletes have made an immediate mark in SPUI-Basic Education’s athletics history.
