With this, we announce that the 2024 WVSU SPIRE Yearbook with the theme, “𝓢𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓣𝓲𝓶𝓮,” will soon be released.

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: USCC Officers, SPIRE comm take oath of commitment

Officially commencing their duty of serving the graduating seniors of West Visayas State University, this academic year's University Senior Curriculum Council (USCC) pledged their virtual oath of commitment to service on April 26 at 3 PM via Google Meet.

Dr. Ma. Pilar S. Malata, Dean of the Office of Student Affairs, led the ceremony and formally introduced the new set of officers, bestowing upon them the responsibility of leading the latest batch of graduates from the University.

In addition, the yearbook committee for the 2024 SPIRE also pledged their full dedication in service of the publication.

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Members of the 2024 Spire Editorial Board and representatives from the University Senior Curriculum Council meet with the University's key officials as the executive committee overseeing the production of the Batch 2024 yearbook.

Convened on April 17, 2024 at the Library Discussion Room, Dr. Ma. Asuncion Christine V. Dequilla, Vice President for Academic Affairs, discussed matters concerning the yearbook plans, processes, and progress.

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Taga-West seniors and alumni seize various employment opportunities during a job fair held on April 5, 2024 at the West Visayas State University Rehearsal Room.

In partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) Iloilo City, this job fair was organized by the University's Office of Student Affairs, in conjunction with the Career and Job Placement and University Guidance Services.

𝐒𝐏𝐈𝐑𝐄 𝐔𝐏𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐄: Graduating students of West Visayas State University prepare for their careers after college through a virtual career caravan on April 4 via Google Meet.

Titled "From Classroom to Careers: Getting the iGen Workplace Ready," the talk and forum focused on workplace ethics and attitude, tips on preparing a resume and job interviews, and entrepreneurship and start-ups for the internet generation (iGen).

Speakers of the event included Maria Carmela Vertido, executive director of the Parents for Education Foundation Ridgefield School, Iloilo; Margaret Anjelie Llorico, a part-time faculty member of Collegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus; and Angelica Kilayko, chief operating officer of Sowenscale.

This event was organized by the Guidance and Counseling Services Office, with the Vocational Placement Coordinator and the University Student Council.
