July 1, 2009 — a mission began, not by choice, but by faith. From humble beginnings, doubts, and challenges, Rev. Fr. Odine L. Ar**la chose to believe: “If you build it, they will come.”
Through concerts, raffles, and unwavering faith, he built more than structures; he built a community. From 686 students to a growing institution, from being called “Burutas” to becoming proud "Veritans", his vision gave VCI its identity, dignity, and purpose.
Seventeen years of service. Seven buildings standing. Seven programs thriving. One mission that never wavered.
Thank you, Fr. Odine, for your faith, leadership, and legacy.

Strengthening partnerships...
Our recent Internship Visitation and Monitoring across various offices, companies, and institutions was more than just a routine activity; it was a meaningful opportunity to connect, collaborate, and witness the growth of our students as they take their final steps in their academic journey.
During each visit, we saw how real workplace experiences continue to shape their knowledge, skills, and professionalism. These moments affirm our shared mission: to equip our students with the competence and confidence they need as they transition into the world of work.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our partner institutions for your trust, guidance, and unwavering support. Thank you for opening your doors and mentoring our interns, giving them the valuable opportunity to experience real-life employment.

From classroom dreams to real-world impact
The 19th IT Day of the BS Information Technology Department became even more meaningful as we welcomed our distinguished guest speaker, Jhan Bhenedict G. Gamba.
With over a decade of experience in systems analysis, design, and development, Sir Jhan has been at the forefront of building and transforming IT systems across organizations—from private companies to national government agencies like Philippine Statistics Authority and Department of Science and Technology through Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
A proud alumnus of Veritas College of Irosin, graduating Cum Laude, his journey reminds us that with passion, purpose, and perseverance, we can turn knowledge into impact.
Though he joined us through a pre-recorded message, his insights still resonated, proving that learning goes beyond presence, and inspiration knows no distance.
Here’s to building our own path in IT, guided by purpose and driven by innovation

ICITE 2025 Journey Wrap-Up
November 25–29, 2025 | Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
Our journey began on November 25, two days before the conference. We took this chance to explore Ho Chi Minh City and appreciate both its history and modern vibrancy. We also stumbled upon GRECO 2025, a public exhibition along Nguyen Hue Walking Street featuring green technology solutions, AI innovations, and electric mobility displays. It was a brief but inspiring stop, a perfect warm-up that set the tone for the technology-focused days ahead.
Fully sponsored by Veritas College of Irosin, our participation in the ICITE 2025 Research Colloquium and International Conference became an unforgettable and academically enriching experience. Over three days, we immersed ourselves in discussions on global IT trends, emerging research, and the rapidly evolving landscape of AI.
Day 1 welcomed us with plenary sessions tackling diverse and timely topics. Prof. Pham The Bao discussed advancements in Medical Imaging and Quantum Computing, while Prof. Minh-Son Dao shed light on CHEAPFAKES, AI auditing, and the importance of integrating AI forensics into IT education. Afternoon presentations by MasterSoft and Fortinet emphasized how AI is transforming both educational systems and cybersecurity strategies.
Day 2 showcased parallel research presentations from various universities across Asia. Each study reflected the presenters’ institutional needs, community challenges, and innovative problem-solving approaches. Listening to these diverse works made us reflect on our own potential contributions and strengthened our motivation to present our research internationally in the future.
Beyond the academic sessions, ICITE fostered community and collaboration. The fellowship dinner, cross-institution interactions, and even the cultural exchanges during the karaoke night allowed us to connect with educators and professionals who share the same passion for IT and research.
As we conclude this journey, we return home inspired, equipped with fresh ideas, and confident in the value of stepping beyond our comfort zone. ICITE 2025 reminded us of the importance of lifelong learning, global engagement, and responsible innovation.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rev. Fr. Odine L. Ar**la, President of Veritas College of Irosin, and to the VPs, for giving us this opportunity. We also thank PSITE for organizing ICITE 2025, and Saigon University, alongside the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, for hosting the event.
This experience strengthened our commitment not only to teaching but to research, with the hope that someday, we too will stand on the ICITE stage as presenters representing VCI.
