"Prioritizing Mental Health"

In today's fast-paced world, it's easy to neglect our mental well-being. But remember, taking care of your mind is just as essential as taking care of your body.

As we celebrate Mental Health Awareness Month with a theme: "Vincentian Pilgrims: Agents Anchored in Hope and Wellness". We are delighted to have Dr. Evony Deveza and Atty. Joseph Deveza as the resource speakers.

Remember, practicing self-care, self-compassion, and self-awareness are crucial steps towards maintaining good mental health. Let us break the stigma surrounding mental health!

This October 10, 2024 Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus Launches this year's Mental Health and Children's Month Celebration!

The Peer Facilitators are thankful for our guest speaker, Mr. Glenn Kenneth Esguera for his words of wisdom and inspiration as well as to the people who have made this event possible. Let's not forget to take care of our own mental and emotional health and serve as a pillar of support for others most especially the ones who need us. Most of all, remember to "Walk placidly amidst the noise and the haste." Set your goals, but enjoy your journey.

PEER FACILITATORS. . . ASSEMBLE! 🛡️

It's all in, Sagradistas! 👊

Yesterday, October 5, 2024, in a rainy Saturday, the peer facilitators hailed the banquet hall as they trained themselves for their new commitment and responsibilities as PeerFacis. 🤗

The training consisted of insightful lectures 🗣️ about the values and characteristics they need to acquire as PeerFacis and demonstrations on the proper body language and how they can be an effective listener. 🤗👥

In the afternoon, the teamwork and listening skills of these harbingers were tested as they participated in various team building activities such as planning how to have the strongest and tallest tower using plastic straws; being an attentive listener in number games; and their skills in working together as ONE in writing the school's core value: "Vincentian Excellence" in a sheet of cartolina by writing it through pulling the attached tapes connected to the pen.

After the number of lectures and activities, the training ended with COMMISSIONING through lighting up candles and a simple closing prayer. 🙏🕯️
