On August 12, 2026, SPEDSA joined the 𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐊𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐧 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔: 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐨𝐧! ✈

From the fun activities, random laughs, new faces, and moments shared with our fellow COE students, it was definitely a day worth remembering! It was a great opportunity for us to step out, meet new people, strengthen our friendships, and simply enjoy being part of one big COE family.

𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐃𝐒𝐀 𝐉𝐎𝐈𝐍𝐒 𝐂𝐎𝐄 𝐎𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐍𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 💚💙

A new school year, a fresh start! The College of Education warmly welcomed our freshies alongside our returning sophomores, juniors, and seniors for a day filled with energy, laughter, and new connections. ✨

On 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟭𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, at the 𝗪𝗩𝗦𝗨 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, the 𝗖𝗢𝗘 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 officially welcomed our newest members of the College of Education community. The event was filled with exciting dances, warm greetings, and the introduction of professors and officers from each department, making our first years feel even more welcomed and connected. It was a great chance to build new friendships, strengthen connections, and celebrate being part of one growing COE family. 🌱

A meaningful pinning tradition for freshmen really made a highlight on this event; it symbolizes the start of their life as taga-Ed!

International Youth Day is celebrated annually on August 12 to raise awareness of the challenges and opportunities that young people around the world face, while celebrating their role as essential partners in achieving sustainable development. This observance provides a platform for governments, youth organizations, and other stakeholders to strengthen and showcase youth-led initiatives that contribute to more inclusive, peaceful, and sustainable communities.

International Youth Day reminds us that young people come from diverse communities and circumstances, each with their own experiences, aspirations, and challenges. This year’s theme highlights how these different realities shape young people's lives and opportunities, while reminding us of the importance of creating spaces where every young person can participate, contribute, and thrive.

𝗙𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔, 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗲𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗵𝗮𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗲𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲, 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗯𝘂𝘁𝗲, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗶𝘃𝗲, 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆. A truly inclusive future is one where differences are respected, barriers are challenged, and every voice has a place. Because being different should never mean being given less.

As we celebrate International Youth Day, may we continue to build a future where every young person is given the opportunity to dream, participate, and make a difference. Let us create communities where diversity is embraced, inclusion is practiced, and no one is left behind.

The Special Education Students’ Association (SPEDSA) successfully concluded 𝗦𝗜𝗡𝗔𝗚𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗚𝗢𝗚: 𝗦𝗣𝗘𝗗𝗦𝗔 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, held on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟳, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝘃𝗶𝗮 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁. ✨️

As the official General Assembly of the Association, SINAGTINGOG brought together SPEDSA members and officers for the presentation of the SPEDSA Constitution, organizational plans, programs, projects, and calendar of activities for Academic Year 2026–2027.

The assembly also provided an avenue for members to raise their questions, concerns, suggestions, and recommendations, reinforcing SPEDSA’s commitment to transparency, communication, and meaningful student participation.

As we begin another academic year, we extend our sincere appreciation to everyone who took part in making SINAGTINGOG 2026 a successful and meaningful start to our journey as an organization. 🤟🏻
