ned a preschool class in her house at Phase I, Alta Tierra Village, Jaro, Iloilo City and named it Childrens Center. Initial enrollment was 36 five-year olds. The enrolment increased in the next few years until the house became too small for the educational needs of a growing community as well as of her growing family. On March 1989 a piece of land was acquired in Phase 5 of the same subdivision where a bigger building was built. With a bigger structure and requests from parents, the school started accepting Grade School pupils starting with Grades 1 & 2 in 1994 working up to the next higher level every opening of the school year. The name was, thus, changed to Childrens Center Grade School (CCGS). On June 1, 1998 Grades I - IV was given recognition by the Department of Education. On June 7, 1999 Grades V - VI were recognized by the same government agency. On April 12, 2004 CCGS was given a government permit to open the first two years of high school. With the inclusion of the High School program and special education for learning disabled, the school applied for a change of name to CHILDRENS INTEGRATED SCHOOL OF ALTA TIERRA (CISAT). The application was approved by the Department of Trade and Industry on March 1, 2005. The school has produced students who were remarkably excellent in academic and co-curricular performances. Proofs of this strong commitment toward excellence and leadership are the many awards and achievements earned by the students in various local, regional, national and international programs and competitions. Cosette Custodio Justiniani, the founder, owner and School Administrator/Directress still exudes the passion for teaching, the quest for excellence, and unwavering determination to make quality education accessible to the community and its neighboring areas in terms of offering complete basic education for all children, or those with special needs. From its humble beginning, CISAT has truly come a long way as a performing educational institution, giving honor and glory to God!
