The dream destination is a VAW-free country, and our commitment today determines where we will be tomorrow.

As the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) spearheads the national 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women, we call on every Filipino to move from awareness to action, from advocacy to activism, and from watchers to warriors.

This is more than an invitation; it is a shared national responsibility to ensure every woman and girl lives free from fear, abuse, and violence.

A VAW-free Philippines gives us the following signals for action:
• 𝗦𝗧𝗢𝗣 violence against women. Women’s rights are human rights.
• 𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 beyond silence. Do not judge a story you don’t fully know.
• 𝗟𝗜𝗦𝗧𝗘𝗡 with compassion. Put yourself in the shoes of victim-survivors, and champion their right to safety, dignity, and justice.

Ending VAW rests on all of us. Let us rise as one, stand UNiTEd, and build a VAW-free Philippines!

Last December 7, the Iloilo National High School - Gender and Development Organization attended the Homeless People’s Federation Philippines, Inc. (HPFPI) Solidarity Day celebration together with it’s members. This event seeks to strengthen the sense of community among HPFPI member associations and to honor the blessings, opportunities, successful engagements and achievements of the organization for the year 2024.

The HPFPI, a national federation of homeowners and community associations throughout the Philippines, has been engaging with various stakeholders for the past 26 years towards securing land tenure and housing for the urban poor. In Iloilo City, HPFP consists of seven member associations, representing at least 540 families, along with various partner and network associations, including the recently established HPFPI Youth collaboratively striving to tackle shared challenges, especially in the areas of housing, land, urban and community development, along with climate and livelihood concerns.

The Iloilo National High School - Gender and Development Organization believes in the power in guise of strength that is heavily inculcated in a woman's system. This power that lies within is fueled by and gained not only through the challenges presented to us by life itself. This indirect yet impactful statement comes from an inspiring woman that is Ma'am Pauchano, the adviser of INHS - GAD. This power isn't constrained in her own population, but have transcended greatly in a bigger community---Iloilo National High School.

Dare to dream. Impose the inestimable principle of having a sense of responsibility and control in your life. Dedicate yourself to your community and give back. Live boldly. These phrases are always easier said than done, but through Ma'am Pauchano's words of wisdom and by sharing a fraction of her personal life with us, we believe that nothing is impossible most especially in defying the weight of the world in pursuit of the better version of ourselves and for a more empowering, dignified community that funtions with mutual respect.

In commemoration of Anti-VAWC Campaign, the INHS - GAD Organization purposely selected empowering women to share their insights on womanhood and have given their piece of advice to young women on navigating their life and owning it. The Iloilo National High school - Gender and Development Organization believes that the key step to achieving sustainable goals on causes such as Anti-VAWC, it is crucial to seek opinion from people we consider as role models as well as to invest in oneself through the sufficient gaining of knowledge in a particular sector, and embracing our unique persona, for it is what sets us apart and the very best gift that we can offer to the world as women. This value is shared by Ms. Cristina N. Tallador---an alumna of Iloilo National High School, a current medical student, a beauty queen, and a woman of valor.

Through Ms. Tallador's empowering speech, the organization truly is inspired, and hopes that the Children of Minerva would follow suit as well in terms of pursuing personal excellence, however in our own distinguished way.

In commemoration of Anti-VAWC Campaign, the INHS - GAD Organization purposely selected empowering women to share their insights on womanhood and have given their piece of advice to young women on navigating their life and owning it. 𝗧𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗰𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗶𝗴𝗻, 𝗜𝗡𝗛𝗦 - 𝗚𝗔𝗗 𝗮𝗶𝗺𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗯𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝘀𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗰𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀𝘁 𝘄𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗻.

Iloilo National High School - Gender and Development organization partners with Zonta Club Metro Iloilo and have executed a symposium on Teenage Pregnancy, followed by a poster making contest with the theme Anti - Violence Against Women and Children.

The winners of the said poster making contest are as follows:

The Iloilo National High School - Gender and Development organization expresses its deep gratitude and appreciation for Zonta Club Iloilo for facilitating this event succesfully with the club, for sharing your knowledge with regard to teenage pregnancy, and most of all for being one with INHS - GAD on championing causes that are in opposition to violence against women and children.

INHS - GAD also congratulates the winners of the said activity; consolation prizes will be given to participants that did not make it to the top three contestants.
