​The entire St. Mary's Academy of Iloilo City, Inc. (SMAIC) community is beaming with pride as our Primary 1 learners earned spots in the International English Masterclass Olympiad (IEMO) 2026 Final Round held on September 5, 2026.

​🥉 Rio Miguel Rosal won a Bronze Medal and is the overall 2nd Runner-Up for Primary 1.

SMAIC PTA Begins Phase 1 of School Waiting Area Improvement

​St. Mary's Academy of Iloilo City, Inc. extends its deepest gratitude to the Parents-Teachers Association (PTA) Officers, led by PTA President Mrs. Grace Daphne Dematais, for the launch and implementation of Phase 1 of our school waiting area project.

​What started as a plan to enhance our school grounds is now becoming a reality—creating a safer, cleaner, and more comfortable environment for our dedicated parents and guardians.

Today, September 12, six (6) cubic meters of ¾-inch and ⅜-inch crushed stone are delivered to the cemented area of the SMAIC Parking Lot to form the base of our updated space.

​Heartfelt Thanks to Our Project Contributors & Volunteers:

SMAers Qualify for AMEP Readiness Assessment 2026

​Twenty-three young minds from St. Mary's Academy of Iloilo City Inc. have successfully earned their spots in the prestigious AMSLI's Mathematics Enhancement Program (AMEP). The Readiness Assessment was held at Iloilo National High School last August 8, 2026.

For the information, AMEP is designed to enrich mathematical concepts learned in regular school classes. Over ten 3-hour sessions, trainees build advanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills under the guidance of expert AMSLI Math mentors.

​In case your child missed the first qualifying test last August 8, Round 2 of the AMEP Readiness Assessment will take place on August 29.

Battle of Vocabularies: SMAIC Spelling Bee Final Round

​Letters lined up, precision prevailed, and vocabulary took center stage as St. Mary’s Academy of Iloilo City Inc. hosted the Spelling Bee Final Round last August 14, 2026.

​After proving their quick wit as the top 3 highest scorers in their classes during the elimination round on August 4, 44 brilliant spellers faced off for the final round, featuring 21 contenders in Category A (Grades 1–3), 11 in Category B (Grades 4–6 and Prep-Prevoc), and 12 in Category C (Grades 7–10).
