The amount of effort it takes to climb a hill becomes less burdensome the more you trek it. That is true to this 2nd year BSDMIA (Digital Media Interactive Arts) student after bagging 2nd place at CPURโs Logo Making Contest.
โWhen I found out that I won second place, I was honestly surprised and lost for words.โ Manejero said. The young artist joined the CPUR Logo Making Contest with the theme, โCentral Spirit: Uniting Generations.โโand ultimately won second place. Amidst the campus-wide competition, Manajero sought to take a chance and never backed down from fear or chances. He continued, โSeeing my logo being recognized made me feel proud of the effort I put into it. It also motivated me to keep improving my skills in design.โ Sometimes influence doesnโt occur externally, sometimes it begins from experience.

Manajero proved that success isnโt just a linear path; it curves and waves, and detours may occur, but the objective remains heading towards one finishing point, one final destinationโโThatโs why I used the CPU colors, the tiger and different elements that represent the university. I also wanted it to look modern but still connected to CPUโs history and spirit. I tried different ideas and designs until I came up with the final draft.โ Manajero didnโt just come up with a logo and called it a day, effort creeped through the tireless times that his brain worked to come up with concepts, and maps linking one idea to another, he said, โDuring the creation of the logo, I was honestly thinking about how I could show the theme โCentral Spirit: Uniting Generationsโ in a simple but meaningful way. I wanted the logo to show the strong identity of CPU while also showing how different generations can come together as one.โ Manajero had one defining goal in mind, it was to bridge the gap between previous and future generations. Where often a rift is caused by miscommunication and unnecesarry squabbles, Manajero sought to take that idea and translate unity into a symbol. โThatโs why I used the CPU colors, the tiger and different elements that represent the university. I also wanted it to look modern but still connected to CPUโs history and spirit.โ
Not winning 1st place shouldnโt be taken as an attack to someoneโs ego. In fact, the crown shouldnโt just be the defining destination one tunnelโs their vision towards; otherwise they lose all the important aspects that make the journey worth it. Manajero proved that it's not just about succeeding the finish line, itโs the effort trying to get there.
