Christmas is truly special when it is shared wholeheartedly. The parents and preschoolers of Absorbent Mind Montessori Preschool, Batch 2024–2025 Advanced Casa Level – Love, reached out with love and joy to our PWD children, sharing kindness, compassion, and the true spirit of Christmas.

Today, all of the preschoolers in my class received stars for their wonderful performance during our rehearsals for the Christmas program. In our Montessori environment, we praise and commend children for their good deeds and positive behavior without singling out who is “the most” or “the best.” Instead, we always remind them that everyone has the potential to shine. Anyone can be very good as long as they give their best in every task.

Last week, we came together to celebrate our uniqueness, embrace our roots, and honor the beauty of every culture. Each tradition tells a story, and together, they weave the colorful tapestry of who we are.
With the theme “People, Places, and Culture,” we aim to nurture in our children a deep appreciation for diversity — teaching them to respect, value, and take pride in every person, every place, and every culture.
May this celebration remind us that in our differences, we find strength, understanding, and the true meaning of unity.

🍜 Chinese Noodle Party Fun! 🎉
By Advanced Casa - Charity

As part of our theme “People, Places, and Culture,” we had an exciting Chinese Noodle Party! The children learned that noodles are a special food in China and are believed to bring good luck and long life. How cool!

Everyone had so much fun exploring noodles—looking at their long shapes, feeling their slippery texture, and of course, tasting them! 😋

During this tasty activity, we also learned:

✨ To use our senses — seeing, touching, smelling, and tasting the noodles!
🤝 Good manners — waiting patiently and sharing politely with friends.
🗣️ New words — describing how noodles feel, look, and taste.
🍽️ Independence — serving and eating all on our own.

Our classroom was filled with giggles, yummy bites, and happy faces!
What a delicious way to explore culture and learn together!

🍜Chinese Noodle Party 🇨🇳
By Advanced Casa - Charity

As part of our theme “People, Places, and Culture,” the children enjoyed a delightful and interactive Chinese Noodle Party! This activity introduced them to a familiar and beloved element of Chinese cuisine—noodles—which are traditionally associated with long life, good health, and celebrations.

The children had the opportunity to explore noodles through tasting, observing textures, and learning simple cultural meanings. Their smiles (and slurps!) filled our classroom as we celebrated learning through food, culture, and hands-on experience.

Beyond the fun, this activity supported valuable Montessori learning outcomes:
• Sensorial Exploration: Children engaged their senses by seeing, touching, smelling, and tasting the noodles, supporting natural curiosity and sensory development.
• Cultural Awareness: They learned how different countries have unique food traditions, nurturing global understanding and appreciation for diversity.
• Grace and Courtesy: Sharing food encouraged good manners, patience, and social interaction among classmates.
• Language Development: Children used descriptive words for texture, flavor, and temperature, building vocabulary through real-life experience.
• Practical Life Skills: Serving themselves and eating independently promoted confidence and coordination.

Our Chinese Noodle Party was a delicious and joyful way to introduce culture, community, and culinary traditions—proving once again that learning can be wonderfully flavorful!

🗽Kid’s New York Fashion Show ✨✨✨💫
- by Advanced Casa Charity

In celebration of our theme “People, Places, and Culture,” our young learners took part in an exciting Kid’s New York Fashion Show! Inspired by the lively and stylish streets of New York City—the world’s fashion capital—the children had the chance to express creativity, confidence, and individuality through clothing and style.

The runway came alive with bright colors, playful outfits, and happy smiles as each child confidently showcased their look. More than just a dress-up event, this activity supported important Montessori developmental goals such as:
• Confidence and Independence: Children learned to dress up and carry themselves with pride, building self-esteem and social confidence.
• Practical Life Skills: Choosing, preparing, and putting on their outfits encouraged decision-making and independence.
• Creativity and Expression: Each outfit was a reflection of their unique personality and imagination.
• Cultural Appreciation: The activity helped children understand how fashion reflects culture and identity—just as it does in the diverse city of New York.

Our Kid’s New York Fashion Show was truly a celebration of fun, confidence, and culture—a joyful reminder that learning can happen even on the runway!
