WVSU University Senior Curriculum Council 2024

𝓖𝓻𝓪𝓲𝓷𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓼𝓪𝓷𝓭 𝓶𝓪𝓴𝓮 𝓾𝓹 𝓪 𝓭𝓮𝓼𝓮𝓻𝓽. Like sand slipping through the hourglass, the moments we've shared as the Class of 2024 have passed quickly. Still, each one leaves behind a historical legacy.

With this, we announce that the 2024 WVSU SPIRE Yearbook with the theme, “𝓢𝓪𝓷𝓭𝓼 𝓸𝓯 𝓣𝓲𝓶𝓮,” will soon be released.

🔹For the graduate school, visit the CICT Student Council Office at the CICT Building on July 29, 2024, Monday, 1-5 p.m. Our USCC officers will be there to assist you.

POVERTY IS A HINDRANCE. Dr. Nordy Siason Jr., this year’s commencement speaker, asserted in his speech that it is a lie to say that poverty is not a hindrance to success.

“To achieve the same level of success as the rich class [does], the poor must work hard and sacrifice twice as much,” he stated.

He also reminded the Class of 2024 that while striving for excellence is essential, in the real world, knowledge without virtue can be both useless and dangerous.

Dr. Siason is an alumnus of the University and currently serves as the president of Iloilo State University of Fisheries Science and Technology.
