It is the Lord’s Day! ✝️

This is known as the “shortest verse” in the Bible. But these two words have a lot to say about Who Jesus really is. Why did He weep?

He wept because a friend died.
He wept because He loved His friend.
He wept because He is compassionate.
He wept because of the sad reality of death, that it isn’t natural.
He wept because of the effects of sin & death.
He wept because death comes for everyone.
He wept because even though He was truly God, He was also truly human, capable of deep emotions.
He wept, because He shared the sorrow that humanity bore from sin and death.

And because He wept, He would wipe away every tear of all who believe and trust in Him for the Life to come.

Blessed Lord’s Day! Just like when Moses pleaded and prayed to God to “𝙨𝙝𝙤𝙬 𝙝𝙞𝙢 𝙂𝙤𝙙’𝙨 𝙂𝙡𝙤𝙧𝙮,” we should have the same heart and longing to witness 𝐆𝐨𝐝’𝐬 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐫𝐲 this day through the singing, the preaching, and the fellowship of the church. ✝️
