A recent fire incident at Brgy. Magsaysay Village has left several families displaced, losing their homes and essential belongings. In this time of great need, your generosity can bring hope and comfort to those affected.

The WIT Student Government 2024-2025, together with the Office of the Extension Services, successfully turned over the goods that they gathered for the fire victims in Barangay Tanza Bonifacio and Rizal Estanzuela, City Proper, on June 17, 2024, with 61 and 27 families affected, respectively.
This activity was in collaboration with College Extension Services Center, College Extension Services Coordinators,Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, WIT Alumni Association, Student Organizations, and the School Administration.

As I look back on the successful participation of Western Institute of Technology in the Clean-up drive of Proyekto Philippines, (non-government organization) in barangay Calumpang, Molo, Iloilo City with the theme of "Let's Clean Up Philippines!: A Movement for Clean Philippines". We would like to extend our most genuine gratitude to those who sacrificed their early morning that day, to help contribute to the success and effectiveness of our participation.

I would like to congratulate all of you for having been awarded as "3rd Biggest Delegation".

I am particularly offering sincere thanks to our School President, Engr. Richard Kenneth F. Salas III, School Administration, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff, College of Arts and Sciences Extension Services Center, Ma'am Eddie Marie F. The administration, faculty, and staff members of Western Institute of Technology wish to extend their heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family of Sir Teodolfo Songcuya Jr., coordinator of NSTP, a valued faculty member of the College of Arts and Sciences, and a cherished member of the WIT family.

In this moment of profound loss, we come together to express our deepest sympathies, sharing in the sorrow felt by the Songcuya family. We stand in solidarity with them during this difficult time, offering our thoughts, prayers, and support as they navigate through their grief.

Sir Teodolfo Songcuya Jr.'s contributions to Western Institute of Technology, as both an educator and a respected member of the faculty, will never be forgotten. His dedication, knowledge, and mentorship have left an indelible mark on the institution and the lives of countless students.

As we mourn the passing of Sir Songcuya, we collectively honor his memory and the legacy he leaves behind. Let us join together in prayer for the eternal repose of Sir Teodolfo Songcuya Jr.'s soul. May his spirit find eternal peace, and may cherished memories of him bring comfort and strength to those who knew and loved him.

In moments of adversity, our hearts are with you! Brgy. San Nicolas has long been more than just a neighborhood; it has been a second home for many of our students and employees.

Know that you are not alone in facing this challenge. The WIT Extension Services Center is initiating a drive to extend a helping hand to those affected by the devastating fire.

I would like to thank many people from our community who, despite troubling economic times, gave generously in support to our โ€œCompassion in Action: Building Community and Social Capacity" outreach program.

To Engr. Richard Kenneth Salas, our beloved School President and our hardworking Dr. Rubie C. Lencioco - Head, Department of Hospitality Management, our overwhelming appreciation for allowing us to conduct this program.
