The West Visayas State University - College of Law Journal for Law Advocacy for the Visayan Region and Southern Philippines is a student-run publication dedicated to the development of legal scholarship within the region. It is currently accepting submissions of student-authored papers, preferably in plain English, that will cover legal articles and commentaries, law book reviews, case notes, and comments on recent legislation, procedural rules, and jurisprudence.
The call is open to Juris Doctor students from the West Visayas State University and from all schools in the Visayas Region and Southern Philippines offering a Juris Doctor (JD) Program, as well as from Faculty members of the West Visayas State University - College of Law. All submissions will undergo a blind peer review process. Submissions will be considered for the Journalโs Fifth Issue and must adhere to the following requirements:
(1) The submission must address a topic that explores this yearโs theme: โ๐๐ผ๐บ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐๐บ๐ฝ๐๐ป๐ถ๐๐: ๐ ๐ค๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ณ๐ผ๐ฟ ๐ฃ๐๐ฏ๐น๐ถ๐ฐ ๐๐ฐ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ป๐๐ฎ๐ฏ๐ถ๐น๐ถ๐๐ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ ๐๐ถ๐ด๐ต๐ ๐๐ด๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป๐๐ ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ปโ
(2) The submission must:
not be more than 5,000 words;
be in Times New Roman, font size 12, single spaced, with pagination and summary of word count;
conform with basic standards of academic and legal writing;
conform with the Bluebook on footnote, punctuation, and citation; and
contain a cover letter addressed to the Executive Editor containing relevant information about the author, his or her institutional affiliation, and contact number.

The Journal for Law Advocacy Board of Editors, along with the newly recruited Editorial Apprentice, conducted their meeting to discuss the plans for publishing the Y4 Volume 5 Journal Articles with the theme of:
"Championing Constitutional Rights: Navigating the Bill of Rights in the Digital Revolution.โ
The meeting discussed matters such as articles received, layout designs, and finalization of printing and distribution.
