Capping off a month-long series of commemorative events, TESDA Regional Training Center-Iloilo (RTC-Iloilo) successfully conducted a joint Bloodletting Activity in collaboration with the Western Visayas Medical Center (WVMC) and the Philippine Red Cross. Serving as the final activity of RTC-Iloilo for the 32nd TESDA Anniversary celebration, the initiative highlighted the agency's commitment to community welfare alongside skills development.

The day-long humanitarian drive brought together technical-vocational personnel, trainees, medical professionals, and volunteer donors to help replenish regional blood bank reserves and promote civic responsibility within the local TVET community.
The program formally opened with welcome remarks delivered by Ms. Donnabelle F. Sollesta, Acting Chief TESD Specialist of RTC-Iloilo, who expressed gratitude to the participating healthcare teams and volunteer donors. Mr. Ryan L. Cervas, Nurse I of WVSU Medical Center, subsequently oriented participants by reading the basic health requirements and eligibility criteria for potential blood donors.

Central to the success of the drive was the joint team of medical professionals, technical specialists, organizers, and healthcare personnel led by Dr. Tessa V. Jordas, alongside teams from the Philippine Red Cross, namely, Catherine B. Sorongon, Joyce M. De Felipe, Princess Ira C. Panizal, Kristine Faye D. Mendoza, and Gerren D. Tingson, and West Visayas State University (WVSU) Medical Centerโ€”including Ryan L. Cerbas, Roshyl Joy Pedroso, Rodalyne T. Lanaria, and Carmen Debloisโ€”who coordinated registration, health screenings, phlebotomy procedures, and post-donation care throughout the event.

Following the formal orientation, the bloodletting operations ran seamlessly, gathering vital blood units intended to assist patients undergoing emergency procedures, surgeries, and specialized medical treatments across Western Visayas.

As the concluding event of the 32nd anniversary activities, the initiative underscored TESDA RTC-Iloiloโ€™s broader mandate of fostering social involvement alongside technical excellence, proving that skills training goes hand in hand with public service.

In celebration of the 32nd TESDA Anniversary, the TESDA Regional Training Center-Iloilo (RTC-Iloilo) held its Employeesโ€™ Day on August 19, 2026, bringing together employees for a meaningful day centered on wellness, self-care, learning, and appreciation.

The activity, led by Acting Chief Donnabelle F. Sollesta, highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy work-life balance, beginning with a wellness talk that encouraged employees to prioritize their physical, mental, and emotional well-being while continuing to fulfill their responsibilities in public service.

The program featured Ms. Mellisa S. Hawley, General Manager of Lumilux Skin Care, who served as one of the resource speakers for the wellness session, together with Ms. Rufa G. Palec, Aesthetician of Lumilux Skin Care, who assisted during the activity.

Employees were also treated to various wellness and self-care services, including massage, manicure, and pedicure sessions. These services provided an opportunity for the TESDA workforce to relax, recharge, and enjoy a well-deserved break from their daily duties.

The wellness activity was further enriched by the participation of Ms. Maria Lucy U. Muralla, Senior Labor and Employment Officer of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Region VI - Iloilo Field Office, who shared valuable insights on Gender and Development and Work-Life Balance.

Also recognized was Ms. Alma Bernadette E. Agor, Owner/Administrator/President of HACCOB Integrated School, Inc., who provided the massage, manicure, and pedicure services during the Employeesโ€™ Day celebration.

The activity served as a reminder that behind TESDAโ€™s programs and accomplishments are dedicated employees whose well-being and commitment are essential to delivering quality public service. By creating opportunities for relaxation, fellowship, and personal wellness, TESDA RTC-Iloilo continues to foster a workplace culture that values not only productivity but also the people who make the agencyโ€™s mission possible.

As TESDA marks 32 years of empowering Filipinos through quality technical-vocational education and training, RTC-Iloilo also celebrates its employeesโ€”the backbone of its continuing service to the community.
