SEEK THE TRUTH AMONG US!

It has been 82 years since Forum-Dimensions, the university student publication of the West Visayas State University, stood its ground in the light of serving every taga-West with Integrity, Reliability, and Commitment.

Challenges have been encountered along every side of the way yet we remain steady and true in the spirit of campus journalism.

In this time of pandemic, it will never be a hindrance to continue our flight in giving the best stories and quality news to keep you updated with the happenings around, within and among us.

Thus, we are looking for committed layout artists, illustrators, and graphic designers to be part of our team.

Guidelines:

1. We are ONLY recruiting layout artists, illustrators, and graphic designers. The publication will be accepting writers soon, should the situation become favorable.

2. All bona fide students of West Visayas State University may apply.

3. An interested applicant must fill out a designated google form to consider his/her application. A copy of an applicant’s Certificate of Registration (COR) will be requested to ensure he/she is enrolled to the university. Link to the form will be included below.

4. There will be two sets of screening. The results of the first screening, upon deliberation by the publication, will determine if an applicant is eligible for the second screening.

5. For every screening, an applicant is required to submit his/her layout or artwork, write at least one article (an applicant may choose from the following: news, sports, editorial, or feature), and be subject to an interview.

6. Layout artists will be provided with resources which they must utilize. Graphic artists and illustrators, will be given a theme which they must base their work on.

7. An applicant will be requested to present a compilation of his/her previous works during the interview. The interview will be done through Facebook messenger to reduce data consumption.

8. On the day of the screening, the resources will be sent to the applicant via gmail/telegram at 12:45 pm. They must submit their finished outputs on or before 5 pm. Applicants will be assigned a time schedule for their interview (between 1 to 5 pm).

9. Video editing skills is a plus.

10. Application period runs until October 3, 2020.
