Flag Ceremony

Today’s flag ceremony was proudly led by our Grade 10 students, who demonstrated leadership, discipline, and reverence as they guided the San Jose Catholic School community in honoring our nation and our shared values.

As part of the ceremony, the Thought for the Week centered on the Augustinian value of “Love and the Hierarchy of Values.” St. Augustine teaches us that love is a dynamic force that moves us toward what we cherish. However, not all love is ordered rightly. True love, or charity, is loving what we ought to love according to God's will, while false love places lesser things above what is truly good and meaningful.

May this reflection inspire us to examine our priorities, choose what is right over what is merely desirable, and cultivate a love that is rooted in faith, truth, and service to others.

Let us continue this week with hearts guided by authentic love and lives anchored in Augustinian values.

Building Friendships, Inspiring Dreams, and Creating Lasting Memories!

San Jose Catholic School successfully held its Acquaintance Party 2026, bringing together Augustinian learners from Kindergarten to Grade 10 in a celebration of friendship, camaraderie, and meaningful learning.

One of the highlights of the event was the Career Guidance Symposium for Junior High School conducted by the Regional Recruitment and Selection Unit 6 (RRSU 6). Through the valuable insights shared by the speakers, our Junior High School students gained a deeper understanding of career opportunities and the importance of setting goals for their future.

Meanwhile, our elementary learners enjoyed an engaging Film Showing, providing both entertainment and valuable lessons in a fun and interactive environment.

The excitement continued as students participated in various Socialization Games designed to strengthen teamwork, communication, and school spirit. Among the featured activities were the Bell Rush Challenge, which highlighted the commemoration of Philippine Independence Day, and the Boat is Sinking: Math Version, where students showcased their critical thinking, cooperation, and problem-solving skills while having fun with their peers.

Indeed, the Acquaintance Party was more than just a gathering—it was an opportunity to build connections, develop confidence, and foster a sense of belonging within our Augustinian community. Activities that promote social interaction and teamwork help strengthen relationships among students and encourage active participation in school life.

Leadership, Participation, and School Spirit

San Jose Catholic School successfully conducted its Club Shopping and Club Election, providing learners with the opportunity to explore their interests, discover their talents, and become active members of various school organizations.

To formally mark the beginning of their service, an Oath Taking Ceremony was held, where the newly elected officers pledged to uphold their duties with integrity, responsibility, and dedication. This solemn moment signified their commitment to becoming servant-leaders guided by the Augustinian values of truth, unity, and service.

Congratulations to all our newly elected leaders! May your term be filled with meaningful service, inspiring leadership, and positive contributions to the San Jose Catholic School community.

Together, let us continue to build a vibrant school environment where every learner can grow, lead, and make a difference.
