Happy Rizal Day! πŸ‡΅πŸ‡ We visited the Rizal Park in Wilhelmsfeld, Germany. πŸ“šβ€οΈπŸ‡©πŸ‡ͺ

Through the decades, Ambeth R. Ocampo’s β€œRizal Without The Overcoat” has brought Rizal closer to every Filipino.

The award-winning book features fascinating insights and lesser-known truths about the National Hero.

The 35th Anniversary Edition features a rediscovered essay and the cover art of National Artist Kidlat Tahimik.

πŸ›’ The book is available online via Anvil Publishing’s official stores on Shopee, Lazada, TikTok. Also available in select National Book Store and Fully Booked branches.

πŸ“œFort San Pedro National High School – History Circle Club joins the nation in commemorating the 129th Anniversary of the Martyrdom of Dr. Jose Rizal today, December 30, 2025.

πŸ“œ Guided by the NHCP theme β€œRIZAL: Sa Pagbangon ng mga Mamamayan, Aral at Diwa Mo ang Tunay na Gabay,” we honor Rizal’s enduring legacy as a beacon of wisdom, courage, and love for countryβ€”values that continue to inspire the youth of FSPNHS.

✨ Featured today: excerpts from the heartfelt letter of Friona Lyn Rose Cabales (Grade 9 Kaptan, SPA – Creative Writing) addressed to Rizal, first read during our β€œAmin ang Kasaysayan: Kwento’t Liham ng Kabataan” culminating activity last August. Her words reflect admiration, gratitude, and the promise of the youth to carry forward Rizal’s ideals.

πŸ›οΈ As a continuation of this tribute, Ms. Cabales and the HCC Adviser visited the NHCP Museums in Iloilo Cityβ€”Museum of Philippine Economic History and Museum of Philippine Maritime Historyβ€”to witness β€œBakas: Jose Rizal’s Imprints in the Provinces in the Philippines.”

πŸ“Œ Future posts will feature more student letters to Rizal, keeping alive his spirit in the hearts of our learners.

Graciano was born on Dec. 18, 1856 in Jaro. He founded and was the first editor of the newspaper La Solidaridad. A great orator, he went to Spain to study and campaign for political reforms in the Philippines, alongside Filipino reformists Jose Rizal, Marcelo del Pilar, among others.
