The UP Visayas Sports Development Program (SDP) Tryouts 2026 successfully concluded its week-long series of tryouts from September 14โ20, 2026, covering 15 sports disciplines. The event provided UP Visayas students with an opportunity to showcase their skills, athletic potential, discipline, and passion for sports, while taking a meaningful step toward representing the university in future competitions.
The Department of Physical Education, College of Arts and Sciences, sincerely extends its appreciation to the University Sports Coordinator, Ms. Joni Cleo P. Guevarra, for her dedicated leadership, coordination, and tireless efforts in making this week-long activity possible. Her commitment to organizing and overseeing the tryouts, together with the coaches, trainers, technical personnel, student-athletes, faculty, and staff from the different sports, played an important role in ensuring that each tryout was conducted smoothly and successfully. The collective cooperation, time, and effort of everyone involved truly made the event a meaningful experience for our aspiring student-athletes.
More than simply identifying athletes, the UPV SDP Tryouts 2026 became a celebration of teamwork, commitment, and the growing culture of sports at UP Visayas. We are deeply grateful to everyone who shared their time, skills, and support throughout the entire week, and most especially to the students who courageously stepped forward and gave their best. May this successful endeavor serve as another step toward developing athletes who will compete with integrity, excellence, and pride.
