With heavy hearts, we share the passing of our beloved former Principal, Dr. Carmen Pama Santos, affectionately known as Mameng, who peacefully returned to her Creator on February 24, 2026.

A woman of grace, strength, and unwavering faith, Dr. Santos faithfully served as Principal of Hua Siong College of Iloilo from 1991–2002 and 2004–2011. Her leadership, wisdom, and steadfast devotion shaped generations of students and inspired countless educators.

Her life was a testament to integrity, kindness, and excellence — a legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of the community she so deeply loved.

We humbly ask for your prayers for the eternal repose of her soul. May she rest in God’s eternal peace and light. 🕊️

In view of the suspension of face-to-face classes on February 25–27, 2026, due to the ASEAN Meeting, please be guided by the following schedule adjustments for the College Department:

All students are advised to check their respective learning management systems and official class group chats for instructions, modules, and deadlines from their professors.

Following the recent issuance of Memorandum Circular No. 106 by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin, suspending classes in all levels in Region VI due to the threat of Super Typhoon “Uwan,” Mayor Raisa Treñas has issued Executive Order No. 137 adopting the directive here in Iloilo City and 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐮𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐥 𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲.

Therefore, face-to-face classes in all levels at Hua Siong College of Iloilo (Main and Ledesco Campus) are 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐏𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐄𝐃 𝐨𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝟏𝟎–𝟏𝟏, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 (𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐲–𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲).
