On July 29, 2025, The 𝙈𝙖𝙩𝙝 𝘾𝙡𝙪𝙗 conducted its 𝒆𝒍𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏 for the next set of 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘦𝘳𝘴 who will guide us through another exciting year of learning and fun. 𝐋𝐨𝐠𝐨 𝐌𝐚𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐬𝐭: 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐌𝐞𝐞𝐭𝐬 𝐀𝐫𝐭

Students from different councils showcased their artistic skills and creativity during the Logo-Making Contest. They were tasked with creating a logo that correlates to the world of Mathematics, showing the artistry the students embody. Indeed, Math is not just about the numbers—it’s in everything that we see: the shapes, the measurements, the angles—you name it.

The artistic skills of each student from grades 7 to 12 are no doubt! But unfortunately, only three will be declared as the victor. So, with that said, here are the winners of the Math Logo Making Contest.

On February 28, students from different councils gathered at the covered gym to showcase their skills in solving the Rubik’s Cube and Tower of Hanoi as fast as they could in individual and team categories, filling in the missing numbers in Sudoku and Kakuro, outsmarting opponents in DaMath, and developing tactics and strategies in the Mobile Legends Tournament. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓 𝐌𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐧 𝐋𝐨𝐨𝐤-𝐚-𝐋𝐢𝐤𝐞: 𝐀 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐭

Showing exemplary skills in portraying well-known mathematicians, councils from grade 7 to 12, set the stage on fire during the 2025 Math Look-a-Like. On February 28, in line with the Mathematics Month, the long-awaited Mathematician Look-a-Like took place at the covered gym of JNHS. Students from grades 7 to 12 gathered to support their respective council, with blazing cheers and support like no other, the gym was filled with the loudest cheers ever!

Representatives of each council confidently took the center stage as they embody their chosen mathematician. The 6 contestants showcased their skills on the stage, from their catwalks to introducing themselves, it was a day full of talent. The grade 7 council as James Gregory, the grade 8 council as Ada Lovelace, grade 9 as Sophie Germain, grade 10 as Emmy Noether, grade 11 as David Hilbert, and grade 12 as Paul Erdos. They were not just mere mathematicians, for they have made countless important contributions to the field of mathematics.

And as they say, in every battle, there will always be victors emerging. Of the five contestants, only three will emerge as the victor. Kezia Mae Montero, as Emmy Noether from the grade 10 council, bagged the award of First (1st ) place. Joseph Rainiel Pumares, as Paul Erdos from the grade 12 council, was awarded Second (2nd) place. And lastly, Trizha Kim Espinosa, as Sophie Germain from the grade 9 council took the award as third (3rd) place—on top with that, she also bagged the People’s Choice Award.
