Endorsement of DOST-SEI scholar-graduates to the Department of Education (DepEd)

The DOST-SEI is set to endorse scholar-graduates under the RA 10612, RA 7687, and Merit Scholarship Programs to the Department of Education (DepEd) for possible deployment to teaching positions.

In this regard, the DOST Western Visayas requests scholar-graduates from Western Visayas and Negros Occidental who are eligible to accomplish the designated form. The information provided will be used to facilitate their inclusion in the next batch of scholar-graduates to be endorsed to DepEd.

The DOST Scholars’ Association in Region VI (DOST-SAIS) announces the official procedures for the SAISelection 2026–2027.

𝟏. 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐃

The official voting form will be open from:

All eligible voters are encouraged to accomplish and submit the voting form within the prescribed period.

𝟐. 𝐄𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐈𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄𝐑𝐒

Only DOST Scholars’ Associations and Organizations (SAOs) representing universities within Western Visayas are eligible to participate in the SAISelection 2026–2027.

SAOs from Negros Occidental are excluded from the voting population and official vote count following the transition of Negros Occidental to the Negros Island Region (NIR).

𝟑. 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄 𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐌𝐈𝐒𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍

Upon closure of the voting period, the SAISelection Committee shall conduct an initial validation of all submitted voting forms.

The Committee shall verify the following:

• Eligibility of the participating scholar;
• Completeness of the submitted voting form;
• Submission timestamp; and
• Absence of duplicate or unauthorized submissions.

Only votes that satisfy the prescribed requirements shall proceed to the official counting.

𝟒. 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄 𝐕𝐀𝐋𝐈𝐃𝐈𝐓𝐘

A submitted vote shall be considered valid only if it:

a. Is submitted within the prescribed voting period;
b. Is submitted by an eligible voter from a Western Visayas SAO;
c. Contains the required information and responses; and
d. Does not constitute a duplicate, unauthorized, or otherwise invalid submission.

Submissions that fail to meet these requirements shall be excluded from the official tally.

𝟓. 𝐕𝐎𝐓𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆

a. The official counting shall commence after the voting period has officially closed.

b. Only validated votes from eligible Western Visayas SAOs shall be included in the official tally.

c. Votes from SAOs in Negros Occidental shall not be included in the official count.

d. Duplicate submissions, invalid entries, and submissions received after 11:59 PM on September 19, 2026 shall be excluded from the official tally.

e. The Electoral Committee shall consolidate and verify the results before the official announcement.

f. In the event of discrepancies in the submitted records, the Committee shall review the relevant submission records and supporting documentation before finalizing the count.

𝟔. 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐂𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐒

Any concern regarding the voting, validation, or counting process must be formally raised with the Electoral Committee within the period prescribed by the Committee.

The Committee shall review concerns based on the available voting records and applicable guidelines.

𝟕. 𝐎𝐅𝐅𝐈𝐂𝐈𝐀𝐋 𝐑𝐄𝐒𝐔𝐋𝐓𝐒

Following the completion of validation and counting, the Electoral Committee shall certify the final results for the official announcement.

The Committee reserves the right to conduct necessary verification of submissions to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and transparency of the SAISelection 2026–2027 process.
