WVSU-LC College of Education Strengthens Partnership with Cooperating Schools
The College of Education (COE), West Visayas State University–Lambunao Campus, conducted the Orientation of School Heads on Field Study and Teaching Internship on September 3, 2026, at the Campus Library.
The activity brought together school heads and representatives from cooperating schools and districts to strengthen collaboration and ensure a shared understanding of the policies, guidelines, and expectations for the Field Study and Teaching Internship of WVSU-LC pre-service teachers.
COE Dean and former TEC Representative Dr. Garry C. Cachuela, led the orientation proper, discussing the Joint CHED Memorandum Order on Policies and Guidelines on the Deployment of Pre-Service Teachers for Field Study and Internship, COE Teaching Internship policies, and the Memorandum of Agreement between WVSU and the Division of Iloilo.
The activity also featured an Open Forum where participants raised concerns, clarified expectations, and shared insights to strengthen coordination toward the effective implementation of the program.
Meanwhile, Dr. Diosdado Boquite, Public Schools District Supervisor (PSDS) of Lambunao West Cluster 1, commended the College of Education for the initiative, noting that this was the first time the College had conducted an orientation specifically for school heads and representatives of its cooperating schools. He recognized the effort as a meaningful step toward strengthening collaboration between the University and its partner schools.
The COE extends its appreciation to all participating school heads, district representatives, and cooperating schools for their continued partnership in providing meaningful field experiences for future educators.
