Their study addresses the pressing challenges of underemployment, seasonal agricultural dependence, and limited access to formal technical and vocational education in the Municipality of San Miguel, Iloilo. Through the proposed development of a centralized techno park, the project envisions a dedicated hub for skills training, innovation, and livelihood development. Creating opportunities that empower local communities, enhance workforce competencies, and strengthen economic resilience.

Earning the 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐀𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝, 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓–𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔🏅, their work reflects an innovative and climate-resilient design, addressing the challenges of Philippine agriculture and fisheries through the incorporation of aquaponics. With 𝐋𝐀 Í𝐋𝐈 Á𝐆𝐑𝐀’s vision of continuous “𝘧𝘭𝘰𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘶𝘭𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘦”, it aims to provide sustainable food production and resource efficiency, and community food security, rooted in resilience and adaptation.

All of the challenges were overcome, all the sacrifices were worth it, and lastly, all the credit for this achievement is truly yours and yours alone.👏

𝐀𝐫𝐫𝐨𝐳 for earning 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐓𝐡𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐬 𝐀.𝐘. 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 in the category of 𝐁𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐢𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐢𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 with the study title “𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗹-𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗮𝘁: 𝗔𝗺𝗽𝗵𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀 𝗔𝗿𝗰𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗲𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗛𝗮𝗯𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗽𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘁𝗲 𝗜𝘀𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱𝘀.”

Their study proposes an amphibious modular facility for the Philippine Coast Guard to address operational challenges in remote and strategic maritime areas. With the design concept of “Bayanihan,” their study introduces a reconfigurable modular cluster system composed of floating amphibious units that support surveillance, search and rescue, and emergency operations in order to address the main concerns of their study—increasing maritime tensions, environmental pressures, and the need for continuous demand resilient and adaptable infrastructure.

Congratulations once again👏! All your efforts, dedication, and sleepless nights earned the recognition it deserves. May your study inspire future architectural innovations and contribute to shaping solutions for the challenges of tomorrow.

𝑯𝒂𝒍𝒇𝒊𝒆 𝐈𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 🇵🇭

Cheers to the country we love to claim, but only when the spotlight is blindingly bright and there's a shiny medal involved. It’s truly inspiring to see the annual tradition of global representatives suddenly remembering they have a fraction of Filipino blood the exact moment a crown or title is secured. Before that? It’s all strategic amnesia, practiced accents, and doing everything humanly possible to distance themselves from the archipelago. But, the second the international press starts paying attention, we are more than happy to claim that 1.5% heritage right back!

There is nothing quite like the unique patriotism that only activates during a victory lap. We love celebrating the "Halfie" elite who treat being Filipino like a seasonal fashion accessory, tucked away in the back of the closet when it’s inconvenient, but proudly put on display for the cameras. It takes a special kind of talent to represent a nation on the world stage while simultaneously looking like you’re trying to scrub the adobo grease off your hands. But don’t worry, we’re experts at over-investing our emotional energy into people who treat our entire culture as a backup plan.

So today, let’s wave the flag for everyone, especially those who only wave it when the cameras are rolling. Here’s to the beautiful, complex reality of Pinoy pride, where we scream the loudest for the ones who were hesitant to even whisper our name. May your internet connections be strong enough to stream the wins, and may our representatives eventually find a way to be proud of the homeland even when they aren't standing on a podium. Mabuhay, or whatever language you prefer to speak when you’re pretending you don’t know us!

As part of the requirements for the Midyear Semester, today, June 8, 2026, the College of Engineering and Architecture holds its 𝙃𝙖𝙧𝙙 𝙃𝙖𝙩𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙋𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮 at the Multi-purpose Gymnasium of ISAT U for the departments of Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, and Electrical Engineering.

In the ceremony, students are encouraged to move forward empowered, not only as they start their internships, but for the remaining years ahead as they strive to take their respective board examinations and get that Ar. and Engr. title.

Last June 5, 2026, Arkitekton, alongside the United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA), and volunteers from the Architecture Department, were invited by Cadagmayan Norte Elementary School, Sta. Barbara, Iloilo for a meaningful 𝐁𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐚𝐝𝐚 𝐄𝐬𝐤𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐚 𝐌𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐏𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐎𝐮𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐡 with Ms. Michelle S. Norico as officer-in-charge.

What started as blank walls soon became colorful murals designed to brighten the school and create a more cheerful learning environment for students. The activity was a simple way of making the school a place where children can feel inspired, welcomed, and excited to learn every day. To everyone who volunteered their time, effort, and talents, thank you for being part of this activity. Every color added to these walls is a reminder that when people come together for a shared purpose, they can make a lasting difference in the lives of others.
