𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐩𝐚, 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐨 𝐦𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐨 𝐧𝐚. 𝐁𝐢𝐠𝐠𝐞𝐬𝐭 𝐡𝐮𝐠𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐥🫂

Architecture students recently attended the "Beat the V**e; Addressing Va**ng and Smoking in Diverse Gender Contexts," on May 12, 2026 at the AVR N-Building. Beyond tackling the risks of smoking, the event also highlighted teenage pregnancy awareness, encouraging responsible decision-making and mindfulness among the youth.

This collaborative initiative was made possible by the Philippine College of Chest Physicians- Iloilo Chapter, the ISAT U Gender and Development Center, and the Office of the Students Affairs.

𝑻𝒐𝒈𝒆𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓, 𝑾𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒓 𝑭𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒆𝒔🎨🏫

Arkitekton, alongside with United Architects of the Philippines Student Auxiliary (UAPSA) ISATU Chapter, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints - Iloilo Stake, and volunteers from the Architecture Department work together at Pakiad Elementary School, Oton, Iloilo during the Brigada Eskwela Initiative today, May 9, 2026.

More than painting walls, this initiative aimed to create educational murals for the Kindergarten Classroom, a space where learning feels more colorful, welcoming and inspiring for every kids.

A heartfelt gratitude to each volunteers who shared their time, talent, and effort, and to Boysen for sponsoring the paint that helped bring these murals to life.

Today, May 05, 2026, 4th and 5th-year Architecture students of Iloilo Science and Technology University attended the event organized by the Civil Engineering Department, “𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐔𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐏𝐑𝐀𝐂𝐓𝐈𝐂𝐄: 𝐍𝐀𝐕𝐈𝐆𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐑𝐄𝐍𝐃𝐒 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐂𝐇𝐀𝐋𝐋𝐄𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐒” at the Student Services Building.

Discussions on current laws, procurement processes, and evolving procedures in construction practice were delivered by the Guest Speaker, 𝐃𝐫. 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐜𝐲 𝐋. 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐳, Head of the Procurement Management Office. The seminar provided valuable insights into the realities of the construction industry, emphasizing transparency, efficiency, and compliance with government regulations.

Through this learning opportunity, students deepened their understanding of 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application. This initiative continues to equip future architects with the competence and awareness needed to navigate the ever-evolving 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬𝐜𝐚𝐩𝐞.

𝐒𝐢𝐩 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭 ☕✨

Arkitekton, alongside various organizations from ISAT-U and other universities, was invited to join 𝙎𝙞𝙥&𝙎𝙘𝙖𝙡𝙚 𝙄𝙡𝙤𝙞𝙡𝙤 𝙀𝙥𝙞𝙨𝙤𝙙𝙚 3 for a night centered on ideas, collaboration, and community. Held at Kape Guid, April 26,2026, the event brought together builders, creators, and go-getters in one space, proving that sometimes, all it takes is one coffee order to start meaningful conversations.

More than just a meetup, it was a night of 𝙣𝙚𝙩𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙨𝙝𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙 𝙞𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙜𝙝𝙩𝙨, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙘𝙤𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨.
