There are pieces of you that I see in me
Thoughts shifting from me to we is what I then see
This illusion of separateness begins to dissolve
That age old puzzle many want to solve
From there it is back to what came undone
Remembrance of being as one
You are you and I am me
Together we can simply be
When illusion is gently wiped away
You will see beyond skin to souls today

Do you see?
I do.

But that doesn't mean we don't get tired too, and things get cloudy when we are tired which is why rest is so, so important.

Stepping back, taking time out, turning of the noise.

At the moment I feel exhausted.

I wake up every morning remembering that here's another day my daughter isn't in, and I’ll say it a thousand times knowing in my heart she is ok doesn’t take the ache away.

I'm day three of a return to oral chemo (yeah that happened too), my bones are aching, nausea and night sweats are my new friends again, and I don’t know where to turn or what’s next.

I couldn’t tell you what I feel because I’m not sure I am.

So I don’t pretend. That’s it. I don’t make anything up.

I just accept, that for now at least, I have no idea.

And it’s ok.

The brigada eskwela duration is from August 14-19, 2023.

Your support, whether through volunteering your time, service or donating supplies, goes a long way in enhancing the educational experience of our students.
