Please be informed that the University Clinic will adjust its operating hours tomorrow. The clinic will only accommodate first-year applicants from 7:00 AM to 12:00 NN. The facility will be closed in the afternoon.

In light of this adjustment, you are strongly advised to arrive early tomorrow to ensure your medical examination is completed.

⚠️ IMPORTANT ADVISORY: MEDICAL EXAMINATION PROCESS AND REQUIREMENTS

Please read and follow these instructions carefully before proceeding with your medical clearance:

Review the Guidelines: Carefully read the attached medical reminder before heading to your appointment.

Secure Your Laboratory Request: Upon receiving this email, download and print the attached Laboratory Request Form.

Undergo Medical Testing: Proceed to the WVSU Medical Center or any accredited medical laboratory clinic near you to have your tests done. Ensure you bring your printed request form.

Prepare Your Results: Gather your official laboratory test results and your X-ray film/disc (if available) to bring to your physical examination.

Submit Certification: Once your physical examination is complete and your Medical Certification has been issued, submit the original document immediately to the COP Office.

West Visayas State University proudly co-hosts the 𝟰𝟰𝘁𝗵 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗙𝗼𝗹𝗸 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽 (𝗡𝗙𝗗𝗪 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲) together with the Provincial Government of Iloilo and the Samahang Tagapagtaguyod ng Katutubong Sayaw ng Pilipinas, Inc. (Philippine Folk Dance Society), on May 17–23, 2026, in Iloilo City.

As part of the partnership between PFDS and WVSU, the workshop aims to:
• develop knowledge, skills, understanding, and appreciation of Philippine folk and traditional dances as bridges of culture and identity;
• upgrade competencies of teachers, choreographers, trainers, directors, dancers, and cultural workers;
• provide valuable dance resource materials and learning opportunities; and
• create spaces for discourse on significant issues and concerns in dance and cultural education.

This year’s NFDW also features PANUHID: National Dance Research Forum, a flagship national dance research gathering that brings together scholars, artists, choreographers, and cultural leaders from across the country.

Through the partnership, WVSU—through its Center for Teaching Excellence—also supports the workshop’s Continuing Professional Development (CPD) initiatives for participants, reinforcing its commitment to quality education, cultural preservation, and community transformation.

Join us as we celebrate the richness of Philippine dance heritage and strengthen our collective mission to preserve, promote, and pass on Filipino cultural traditions to future generations.
